New shirt ideas

SO After looking over what you guys liked and didnt like,

Heres the point we are at. To put the logo on the back increases the cost by about $2 per shirt. Do you guys want it or do you just prefer the logo on the front.

Let me know and ill get em set for order.

I'm probably not gonna get any but logo on the front alone would be better, so it's cheaper.

Please just use a site that can give you shades. This is a little bit silly if we're trying to look respectable as a server.

I think that a light grey with the Meep logo and maybe something else would look nice. Nothing on the back, but I feel like just the logo would look too bland.

The hoodie looks really nice, I would love the color of the hoodie black instead of purple, in my opinion.

Just forewarning: The hoodies will most likely look like crap with that many colors on them, and over a white base.

For the T-shirt, I'd recommend ditching the back print, and using the current plates on the front (black) to put the wording in.

Textiles are not like paper, shading isn't as fine as it would be printed off on paper. Your options are limited, it's not a "site" thing, but a printing thing. Subtleties cost quite a bit more.


Also; instead of having an 8 / 9 color image I would look into 4 color process printing, or spot process printing. 4 color process on white will achieve the same look, probably for a lesser cost.

 

I mean it can be done, but for the quantities that would be ordered from here, the price would just be astronomical. Even the image as is will be pretty pricey, and it's 100% not going to look as good as it does in those pictures linked above. That's unfortunately just the nature of that industry.

 

You can change the color on the site to whatever you like.

We have andrew working on a few cool images with less colors. People asked for this one so we thought we would make it. Im gunna text you now actually.

You can do that design, especially on a white shirt. "4 color process" is the method. It's basically cyan/magenta/yellow/black all mixed together as it prints, to create different colors.

 

Dude seriously red bubble is the way to go. You can use any image, the shading/colours isn't limited. Granted it's a tad more expensive ($20 for a t-shirt when artists profit is removed) but you can get products ranging from travel mugs to stickers for your computers as well. If you could at least say no so I can stop arguing my corner, but if you really intend to go down the path of meep merch I suggest you do it on there. All you have to do is stick the image on there (and if you want) reap the gains it's all handled internally. I've done work on there for ages.

 

If you're printing on a shirt, shading and color are limited.

For other items though, it would be cool to have a range of items, even low price point items.

The major factor they will be facing is their order sizes. You get penalized very harshly when you order low quantities. Not to mention up front costs, depending on the source.

It's all handled internally you don't need to order large quantities in order to not get penalised. All you do is supply the art and they print it. There are NO upfront costs it's completely free for the art supplier. Granted red bubble makes a killing off of the markup of the actual t, but the source doesn't get any charges at all
