After browsing about 7 pages of the Denied section, and trying (but failing) to search it up, I'd like to make a great suggestion.

LWC. A locking plugin, that allows you to lock and set permissions for doors, chests, gateways, trapdoors, and more.

Here's a link to the Bukkit site for LWC, and here the's link to the Spigot site for LWC.

It'd be nice to prevent town staff from walking into my doors when I'm offline. I have heard the stories, and even experienced it myself (not on here).

Town Mayors would be able to create Donation chests, that allow people to drop things and not be able to pull them out (only the chest owner can do this). Public Chests, where everyone can interact with them, but can't destroy them. Private, where no one (but the owner and whom he adds) can access it (convenient for chests indoors). And lastly Password Chests, where no one but the owner and password-knowers can access.

Either way, I want my stuff protected from everyone, and Towny doesn't enforce that. Besides, Staff won't have to worry about banning Mayors for stupid things like that. I honestly find it safer to build out in the wild than in a town where your stuff is accessible by others.

Just take a look, gimme some feedback.

    - Best Regards,
    CaptainCheesy

Imo the current plugin really doesn't need a change but for the new custom plugin +1

+/- I think it was suggested before, but I don't know where it is, and I'm pretty sure you searched for it already...

Anyways, I honesty don't see much use for this. A chest shop works fine at the moment for locking your own chests.

But having the ability to lock doors and only make them accessible by yourself seems pretty useful.

This isn't something I'd really use, since I trust my town staff, but I can see it useful for other people sometimes. Not really an essential plugin, but would be nice to have.

I trust my Mayor too, but I don't trust her Staff (who I never see online; pretty sketch). And no, I don't like using ChestShop to lock my chests. That just means they could buy the chest out. And I'd like to have a mailbox regular residents can access instead of being locked by Towny. This plugin provides what Towny does not.

Yup, I understand what you mean. Certainly this would be more useful to some people than others. I honestly have no real use for this, but I would use it if it was added.

I have a feeling that the majority of people would not use this, simply because they trust their staff completely, and have good communication with them. If they are part of your town staff, I'm quite sure you would tell them about certain places, and trust them enough that they get those permissions. But I may be wrong.

I totally see where you are coming from. But my vote stays the same.

A simple way to get around it is just setting your chest as a shopping chest but so it's impossible for anyone to buy something.
    Example:

    zMiku
    1
    B 1000000000
    Air*
    '
There you go. This way it's basically impossible for someone to get something unless they have this amount of money. (Which will never happen).

*If air doesn't work do a cheap block such as dirt or cobblestone and put that in the very first slot from the top left in the chest. This way if someone ever manages to get this amount of money, they will receive a worthless object. Putting a stack in the first slot will make it perfectly secure. (But then again, the chances of someone managing to even get a block is impossible).

If you set the price this high no one will ever get any of your stuff.

if you don't trust a someone to be staff in your town you shouldn't let'em, go with your gut. but +1 for something like this because you still kinda don't know. probably better idea to make a custom plugin instead of implement one that already exists tho

Perhaps a chest can't be opened. What if it's broken? I'll assume this is part of the plugin, but:

What is stopping the town staff from removing two blocks, coming in, and replacing the blocks when they're done? A staff member won't come in and use Prism for no reason, and anyone coming in won't leave a trace or any reason for suspicion.

This is another reason. They could force entry, but if the chests were locked, it'd be pointless.

This would be cool to have. I hate the look of putting the chest sign for air... like we don't need to do that. +1 from me.

But what you're forgetting is, what if it's a store? What if people could donate their junk in a donation chest? You could even give away your junk in a chest. It does more than just locking. This would really be effective in the wild, where people can steal from others. Would help seeing a lot of people rage quit.

Explain. People like you wouldn't be able to touch my stuff in the Wild if I could lock my chests.

Wild is supposed to be free-for-all and everyone can grief and do everything. Towny is supposed to be protected.
Locking shouldn't be in wild, if you want security you should join a town.

How would it apply to griefing situations? Like if I placed a bunch of doors and locked them, would town staff be able to break them? I feel like this isn't really needed, although if it worked out perfectly, it would be cool.
