I think you should reevaluate your life choices because you can't really afford to lose many more brain cells.

 

@Summers I strongly *strongly* recommend getting 16gb ram, it isn't a whole lot more on the budget and it can make a hell of a difference.
And I'd also consider an SSD, although that can just be added later.

 

Depends on what he's doing. 8GB of RAM can go a long way if managed properly. Hell, I still use 8GB of RAM and I play many intensive games and do video editing in Vegas.

sucks they aren't actually making a toaster but the pc looks good should be able to handle musical chairs xD

 

I agree to getting it, because the price is very little, but no games take more than 6 gigs of ram so 8 gigs is great. 16 gigs of ram is only good for multiple tasks at once or some sort of media editing/creation.

 

It does make a noticeable difference on quite a few games.

 

I won't be playing any games that really need that much ram. Not like I'm gonna play ark or something crazy

I don't know why people are arguing about something that is completely irrelevant to this thread, and most things in life unless you plan to join MENSA of course. Besides, age does not affect your IQ, but yeah this topic is not related...

 

I'm going with something similar, Although I am not a huge fan of AMD and will probably go with a GTX 960 or 970. I also need to buy a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, so that reduces the amount of money I would otherwise spend on a better gpu and cpu.

Okay, so just my input, but, the Intel CPU was a waste. MY AMD FX-6200 is a hex-core clocking at 3.8 base, but I've set it to turbo at 4.2 GHz, and only cost me $114. The RAM is nice, G.Skill doesn't fail to provide, however DDR4 isn't really necessary. DDR3 is still the standard, and will be for a number of years. And why a mid tower with micro ATX? I would've future-proofed and gone full ATX.

Just my input/ opinion. Not hating. Decent build. +1

 

Intel is garbage. For the equivalent processor that I have, it's about $300. Compared to $114? Waste of money.
