Why though? What's so immoral about sex for recreation? It seriously doesn't affect you.

I believe that LGBT people should receive exactly the same rights as everyone else. I am seriously disappointed that this is even a topic for debate. Everyone deserves equal opportunities in life. There have been many cases of businesses refusing to serve customers, or people losing their jobs based on their sexuality! Their sexuality has nothing to do with their job! I honestly can't explain how wrong I think this is. Why should anyone be treated differently based on their sexuality in areas that aren't even connected to it!?!

 

I have yet to see a male dog, ehem, lemme find a good word rather than saying the other word we all love to hear and say - hm, yes, this is it, instead it is 3 words - have sexual intercourse with another male dog. Or even hear about it.

Look it up. Male dogs have gay sexual intercourse all the time. This is true with animals in over 1,500 species (and that's just what we've found so far). There's even an entire species of monkeys that is bisexual.

In some species of birds, lesbian couples will lure males to fertilize their eggs. They will then raise the offspring as same-sex parents.


You are one Google search away from discovering homosexuality in the animal kingdom. Please, do a tad bit of research before you comment again.

Come on man. This was a 2 second google search. Not only is it incredibly lazy to say that you've never seen it, when you're a few clicks away from doing so? Isn't your rationale not too distinguished from...

It's because you combine what you know, with the facts available to you. With reasoned arguments and logical deductions.

If you want to have fun during sexual intercourse, then please be my guest and do what you please but you needn't tell me about it. As I said before, my cousin is a lesbian and I accept her and her wife as family. Although I do not agree with them on certain issues, I listen politely and respond with thought out and mature answers and questions so that I can understand them better. I believe that people should be free to express themselves and their beliefs but that everyone should have equality in the matter and that others should not be able to silence them because they simply do not agree with their opinion.

Why are you here, if not to criticise what people believe? Debates are exactly that.

You think that it's morally wrong to have homosexual sex. If that isn't insulting, a critique, or offensive to those that do have homosexual sex (or support it), I don't know what is.

You can't just come into a thread, spend 90% of the time dressing up what you've said as non-offensive and polite, and then make outlandish statements without explaining why. You seem to have a knack for not wanting to engage in a discussion, no matter what. Seriously now, why are you in this thread? To vent? To talk with others? It can't be the latter, because you never seem to talk about what you or others believe. You just back away from any mature conversation under the guise of 'not wanting to offend anyone'.

If I had said: "I have a black friend. He's a very nice guy. I love black people very much, and I don't want to offend anyone here when I say this. But I think inter-racial couples are wrong. I'm sorry. That's just what I believe. I'm not criticising or insulting anyone here when I say that. I think inter-racial couples are morally and religiously wrong."

Wouldn't it be a bit silly for me to say that, and then refuse to address any criticism? To refuse to engage with anyone that disagrees? Otherwise, I'm not here for a discussion. I'm just venting.

Then why won't you do so with me? When I've done nothing but try offer you a seat to talk about this? Bear in mind, if you're right? I want to know. I don't want to be wrong for more than a second that I have to be. Refusing to engage with my questions (and everyone else's) gives us no room to change our minds. We need reasons.

Thinking that inter-racial couples are 'morally wrong'. You're free to have that opinion. But you're also free to be called out, challenged, and have your ideas scrutinised. You're a person. Your ideas, arn't.

This is sad, Gimble. You havn't addressed a single word of my previous response. You've not talked about any of my points. Instead, opting to tell everyone how well-intentioned you are. I'm really sorry man, but I have to ask more of you. Please, talk about the issues. The reasons. The 'why'. You cannot keep defending everything you say by claiming how polite you want to be. Because that isn't a defense at all.

 

I personally think it's not a choice. You are or aren't. As a Devout Catholic the Pope says for us not to agree with it so I don't. I think lots of people do it for attention seeking purposes. Its OK to be gay but don't shove it in my face and make me feel like being straight isn't ok. As a male I've been called gay even though I'm not. But you can be gay thats fine. But don't criticise me for my faith. God is more important to me then your "gay" rights. No offense to anyone this is my belief

You could answer this one of two ways without agreeing with me fully:

1. Deliberately disagree, doubt altogether that he created Homosexuals
2. Agree partially but still hold true to your beliefs

I will accept neither response, as both are somewhat incoherent. btw...

 

God did not create homosexuality. He gave us free will. Thats the best gift he can give. He's great he's cool and he's an awesome dude. With that free will you can do anything.

Just remember his will be there if you slip up

I do not agree with Gay rights or gay people. It's wrong! A marriage should be between 1 woman and 1 man. It says so in the Bible.

My friend Ryan became gay suddenly and out of the blue. He CHOSE to be gay.

Please. It is not "wrong" at all. It is a natural thing. Just because this old book says it's wrong doesn't mean you do. I'm sure you can have your own opinion on it. Doesn't the bible say divorce and having a woman's hair short is also a "sin" too?

(Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't read it or anything. Also, I'm just saying that the bible says a lot of things, I totally respect your religious faith! I just believe that you can have your own opinions. And you can educate yourself on these topics.
