My Resignation

Please keep in mind while reading this, I had no intention on ever sharing this, but I'm tired of false information of myself getting passed around.

I'm gonna start this thread by saying what others have told me why they think I resigned. No, I didn't quit because of dicing, lack of money, or any other item in that vicinity. I didn't quit because I'm "lazy" or didn't want to take the responsibilities of the position. Contrary to popular belief, I really wanted helper because I thought I could make a difference. But ultimately, I successfully ruined my reputation in the course of three days. I sure as hell didn't try so hard to become helper to be popular. I did it for the people. MeepCraft has been my favorite server since 2012. I hate to think that someone would fail to have somewhat the same experience I had. I assure you, my intentions for staff were pure.

Now, onto the resignation part. Honestly, like I stated before, I had no plan to share this ever. This was a very emotionally traumatizing event. Furthermore, I'd appreciate it if you no longer spread rumors about my resignation or correct those that do.

I resigned for very many reasons that piled up into one big one. I have a horrible back and I'm not even supposed to be on my computer for more than an ~hour a day. The amount of time I spent on MeepCraft was undeniably obsessive. On my quest to becoming staff I made MeepCraft take up an irresponsible amount of my time. Overall, I feel disgusted at my own behavior. No person should spend as much time as I did. So with all that said, my back got extremely bad, I had to wear a back brace for a month and a half.

Tying into this, I worried way too much about money on a minecraft server. It just sounds ludicrous looking back on it. The amount of worry, time, and effort that went into my money on MeepCraft was again appalling to me.

At the time, I was fine with sacrificing my personal health for the greater good of MeepCraft. But, in a moment of clarity I realized what I was doing with my life. The only reason I got out of this self-destructive streak is because of my girlfriend. While this may seem foolish, she thought I was cheating on her because I never spent time with her. I don't blame her, we have a complicated history together. But before you start judging, I was planning on marrying this girl. Just hearing her say this, it got too real. I can honestly say that this was the greatest trauma I have ever experienced in my life. I had lost my bestfriend and my soul mate.

I tried to keep my cool, I am usually good with hiding my emotions. But, like I said, this was just too great of a force. This happened to me the day after I had gotten helper. Coupled with Jalapenos resignation, (not it itself, but what he said whilst resigning) it really clawed its way into my brain. I couldn't keep it up, I knew it wasn't healthy but hadn't really realized the consequence of it.

I am truly sorry. I wanted to be a good helper, and make MeepCraft a better place for all. I have failed you, and for that I offer only my sincerest apologies.

@Jess_4Ds I'm sorry for putting you through so much, I want to thank you for being such a great friend to me even when I wasn't to you.

I was going to make fun of you for having a girlfriend when you're only 13~ until I did my research and found you're 17 :^).

I understand how easy it is to get sucked into a game, and to be honest, I've poured a lot of soul into games. It's not silly to be wasting hours for a virtual currency, in fact, it's completely natural. As human beings we naturally want more. Whether it's power, fame, or in-game currency, it'll always be our goal to achieve more of it. For me, it's never been about the money or popularity. I've always wanted to be the best, to the point of me staying up late on nights grinding virtual points called elo, on a pvp server. Sure, I've been #1, and it felt great until I realized now that I'm here, what's the point? I realized I had wasted precious time (Which cannot be taken back) for something meaningless. The point being, is that even after achieving a goal, there's no point in it until you realized what it took to get there, even if it is positive or negative. Hard work is natural, though it may not seem like it. The only reason it's hard to work is because all that "hard work" is being spent on something else. Enough with the metaphors, all I'm trying to say is dedicate your time and focus to something you want. Something you really want.

Whatever that is, I'm sure you'll get it. Good luck in life, and even though I never really knew you, I'm sure you were a great person

 

People who say "13 year olds with girlfriends isnt right" are jealous because they dont have girlfriends. Its okay to have fun, even if the relationship isnt stable. Let them have fun, even if it wont last

 

Thanks, I completely agree. That's the problem with life, you either know what you want and don't have it, or have it and don't know what you want. I have a very addictive personality, which means when I find something I tend to spend all and any of my energy towards it. I'm not trying to hate on those who do spend all/most of their time on video games, but I can say that lifestyle definitely isn't for me.

 

Not sure if directed at me because I have one- either way, Any relationship before highschool or even being able to drive is usually going to end in broken friendships and hate and unnecessary feelings for people that young. That's just my opinion, people can do whatever they want

 

Yeah, I'm 17 just in case you didn't know, but dating before having a licence is kind of foolish in my opinion.
