Double the amount of characters they get to type

How is someone supposed to type like two sentences on why they should be banned

I had the struggle and I couldn't fully explain myself on why I should've been unbanned

 

I believe the limit is 200 characters.
There doesn't need to be a limit at all.

 

Post a new thread in the ban appeals section while you're signed in??

 

not all banned people have a forums account and if they did get one probably wouldn't be able to find their appeal

This seems unnecessary.

Anyway this is there to probably prevent terrible spam but I agree that definitely bans should be allowed to be explained more. I've never had to appeal a ban but a limit just seems silly! I remember the examples they had in rhe staff howto thread and I'm pretty sure that the ones that were supposed to be accepted would have needed to have more typing room. Since I don't know how this works I'm not sure the solution but this definitely needs to be addressed.
