Yeah when I did the rankism test, it was in kit, and I do have screen shots of me being down talked, but its a more tryhard environment

-rankism isn't a thing @fasehed . even if you believe it is players should expect it you can't see them as well in chat and they can't do as much as donors but if these players don't want so called (rankism) they donate it is that simple

 

thread is pointless because staff are aware of the problems that plague the server and you have no control if they do or don't fix any of them or the order they do it in. Advertisement is done by fuzzlr and klutch comes in there every now and then. You cant solve rankism, tutorial was completely redone but it seems like you have no idea about that. I was there when reggles tested the final versions and corrected things in it. You have no control of how fuzzlr spends money and his decision on finances involving the server, no one below admin and even some admins dont get to dictate that. Kits fine. Everyone complains about kit every time it has been reworked and honestly, its not worth redoing as it stands. People love kit when they come on, its fine.

You would actually cry when you realize how much fuzzlr spent on spawn, two spawns ago. Quite a pretty penny.

No. If they don't understand, they ask and in two sentences its explained. Let me demonstrate.
new player: What is the difference between alpha and beta.
Half competent staff: There is no difference. Alpha was here first and has older towns. Beta has newer biomes.

....I was? I knew I made a lot of noise and I was a brat, but popular? In some way I guess it makes sense, but I feel like how my reputation was built up was through not what I am now. As far as popular cits go, I think @Fortemizuki is up there, as she literally went from a cit to and ult in less than 3 months and she'd been playing over a year. Some people's popularity spike so fast, but it's only really due to the players that make it that way.

I did thank you very much, shains gave me a list on why I didn't make it to TS interview and I am studying it to learn.

I was just trying to contribute to the growth and well being of meepcraft, you obviously feel very strongly about this and expressed your self in what seemed like a very negative way. I simply wanted to give my 2 cents because I think meepcraft is doing a few things wrong.

Your point is? Yes we all know how much Fuzzlr spent on spawn and no body is proud of it, but I bet a lot of people could agree back in the golden days (2012-2013) that was an amazing spawn, not for what it looked like, but for how much community interaction was possible, a good /warp pvp and is not needlessly big like all of our current spawns.

To somewhat add something to this, people have things that they have to do. And we can't really accept anyone to become a helper. Some of us know we're immature, some of us know we don't have time to really dedicate ourselves to meep. Only a few can and respect to them as they try their best to be active.

 

I am going to +1 most of this, however with the whole "Rankist" thing..Minecraft and Minecraft servers..are (is) just a game, and there are going to be people who are mean, hateful and rude. That's just how this world is. Not everyone is going to be sweet, kind or even real, but the few people who are what make Minecraft (and Minecraft servers) amazing. Now I am not saying that most of the players on Meep are mean, rude or hateful.. a very small portion are, everywhere in the world you will meet those kind of people, you will be forced to work with them, tolerate them and it won't be easy. All we can do is think and act how we want to be treated. Lets say someone is getting slandered because they are "poor" and can't afford a rank, someone is making fun of them in /g or somewhere where a couple people can see their conversation. If there are people witnessing that, why aren't people standing up for the player? (I'm not saying that it happens every time) The fact is that players need to stand up for eachother and be there for eachother. That's what this community does and I always want to protect that. I promise you if we can help little by little like that it will pay off in the end, you just have to never give up even when everyone is against you.

I remember being on a Prison server without paying money; it wasn't that bad. I do agree that other servers have bad rankism. Really bad. MeepCraft is so great. If the rankism that is there was eliminated, MeepCraft would be better. Other servers should get a grip on rankism. I'm just extremely thankful for the little, but annoying at times, problems that exist here. I can't really imagine if MeepCraft was as bad as you described it on other servers.

Thanks for all the ideas and such, but there's honestly nothing physical that we can change. This is more of the people of the server agreeing and carrying out these ideas on their own (like an ideology that would be ideal). I'm going to move this to discussion so you all can discuss more and generate more ideas amongst yourselves. If you end up brainstorming something concise that can be suggested, then please feel free to make a suggestion here on it.

The thing is- you're all about making the server better, and whipping up all these ideas of how to fix or benefit the server, but you're not doing anything to contribute. I mean, even as someone that isn't a staff member, you can still make a positive effect. I was just on another thread and I believe you enabled pvp on the plot and killed someone with no notice previously. (Correct me if I'm wrong). You did this because he/she started swearing at you, and someone else. (Once again, correct me if I'm wrong or if this info is outdated). The reason I bring this up is this is what scares new players. It gives a bad taste in their mouths. Someone commented and criticised you on this behavior and you just shrugged it off and replied "k". It relates because you're so eager to fix the server, to make it thrive again, but yet you go off and scare new players. It really just doesn't fit at all. If I'm incorrect with this info, then correct me please. If I was wrong I read it wrong and it's not good on my part. Just basically in conclusion your actions are fighting against what you're standing for.

 

I don't understand how advertising will be done...
Unless you do the unreliable IG Chat spam, Than I have no idea how this will happen.
Servers like Hypixel and Mineplex gained attention through social media such as Youtube and Facebook, but both of these servers are popular because of their minigames and events. Unless Preston, Woofless, Or any big Youtuber comes back, then we are pretty much feiged.

 

Having them make a video is nice and it does give us a boost in players, but that boost heavily dies down in like a week and in two, three weeks that boost is nearly forgotton about. two or three dozen people checked out towny, one of those dozen got bored and left, another handful of people got screwed over one way or another, another couple people want a rank, realize it's gonna take 5 years for them to save up 500K at this rate and leave, giving us like 6 lasting players.

 

Lol I remember the dude asking for admin. He called it op. Me and peers roasted the nub and said we just contacted fuzzlr to get him op

We have a stable team right now, (having staff from different timezones) probably the best I've seen by far. We do a lot of work behind the scenes and new things are coming up. We try our best to do the modreqs at all times and help out the community so just keep your eye out.
