I feel like you have phrased this sentence wrong? by saying 'its pointless'. In the end everything is pointless whether it be what Jenifer Laurence wore to the Oscars or when the volcano exploded covering Pompeii. Feminism is a belief, i feel like you are the bad guy here that shoots down peoples beliefs. If people support or identify as a feminist leave them be! let them believe in having an equal society because it is none of your business people are people. Let them be themselves!

First off, your claim is completely off-base and could have been structured infinitely better. Feminism is irrelevant in the U.S (third wave feminism). No matter how many claims you want to make, first and second wave feminism were the only necessary eras of feminism. Not many topics am I strong about, but this is one. Feminists like to make claims of inequality in the U.S. while simply ignoring their own hypocrisy. Of course, there is injustice, but the only thing that they don't seem to get through their mind is injustice is global. Just because you feel discriminated doesn't mean its because of your sex, age, skin color, religion, or whatever. There is a "wage gap", but this mostly only exists due to the fact that men have been in the business industry longer and most women refuse many dangerous jobs that pay more. I have never met a feminist who has not seemed hysterical whilst debating this topic.

Secondly, all feminism is not pointless. In many countries women are legitimately oppressed. But making claims like women are being sold as slaves is again irrelevant because men are also being sold as slaves. Sure, feminism is a great movement, but for those who need help, not for somebody who "wants" to help (get attention) and say that men and women are unequal. If anything feminists want men to be oppressed.

Finally, making a post like this is obviously made for attention. If you wanted legitimate arguments you would've put more work into the post itself. Next time, think before you post.
