remove serverpact.com from voting list.

after a string of lets say "naughty" names. I decided to do a little digging of my own as to how it was being done and experimented around. Long story short, I found out that serverpact.com was the weak link.

I will not go into details as to how on here but any staff who want to know what I found can just request me to pm them my findings.

 

How was it being done? Couldn't players just enter a name in at any of the voting websites and have the name appear? PM me, I was ex-staff I think I'm responsible enough to not tell anyone

 

I am not pming anybody below supermod rank. The only one who I spoke to was june and thats because he answered my modreq when I was trying to get a hold of klutch.

Not really, because if the "how" spreads too much or to the wrong person. By the time it is fixed the damage will be horrendous. The names as of late are nothing short of despicable.

In hindsight I should have probably put this thread into the bug reports section. But... *shrugs shoulders* here we are.

You should know that this is a server full of children who jump on the latest bandwagons more frequent than they change underwear. Do you really want a bunch of kids knowing how to exploit the voting system?

 

I'm saying I really don't give a damn but telling helpers here and there will probably be faster than getting a supermod

plus kids will find a way if they want to try that hard

 

To be honest, this thread can be closed. Its resolved. I spoke to Sjoe about it directly. He confirmed everything.

 

Staff team acts as a whole, the majority of all information spreads cleanly through the entire staff team. Helpers will find out lol
