Can't talk on Teamspeak

My microphone doesn't work on teamspeak. I am using my computers built-in microphone which I know works, but for some reason I don't think that teamspeak can access it. I am running windows 8 on my laptop and when I check my microphone privacy settings the only two applications that appear are skype and sound recorder.

If someone could please help me out, that'd be great!

Anywas Vampire, at the moment I am not on my PC so my help might be limited... But;

1. I take it you've went through the setup TS provides. If not, take it and see if it fixes things.

2. Make sure you don't have "push-to-talk" option selected or that you are pushing the corresponding button when trying to talk.

3. Go to sound options on your Windows [x] and play around with recording devices, maybe your integrated mic is disabled and you need to enable it or set it as a primary recording device.

I'll post more when I get home and your problem isn't solved by then.

 

Eh, I was just joking.

But try this what I did to my microphone when I can't even talk in teamspeak nor in garena talk.

Go to the audio manager, which is Realtek HD.

Open it, Go to the microphone settings
Then, choose Voice Recording, then the recording volume would be the highest, then there should be a speaker icon, which is mute, and there's a microphone icon beside it. Make sure the microphone icon doesn't have any sound waves icon, I don't really know how to explain it but yeah, that's what the pictures look like.

This is what I did to fix my mic, I hope you fix yours!

 

First of all, make sure you have left the lobby because no one can speak in the lobby.

Second, try this:

• Open Teamspeak
• Open preferences
• Select "Capture"
• Play around with "Capture Device"
• You can test each of them by clicking "Begin Test"
• If the test is push to talk, be sure to assign a key as your push key

 

I did this and it worked
