PvP Staff

Get staff that actually know what hacking looks like handle the hacking cases so people dont get banned for being good *cough* bluapol *cough*. Dont let regular mods and helpers handle hacking cases when they dont even know the first thing about hacking. stupid mistakes like this makes people who were banned never wanna play on this server again.

All helpers/mods are trained to catch hackers. All of the hacking reports are looked at by another staff member at some point to make sure it's a good ban. Helpers are also monitored by mods+ closely for a certain period to make sure that they make the right calls. As of writing this, there are almost always staff online who know how to get them, and if they don't then they are most likely in the process of learning how to do so. I think a PVP staff is not necessary for that reason and because any player can easily upload a video of a hacker to the forums, and those are handled fairly quickly.

while i was staff i didnt see a single person get trained for hacking

~ ever since staff members who pvped (Metr0n0me, Saleb etc.) were demoted or resigned, people have been getting banned falsely. Also, because @Bluapol is well known for being good at pvp, why wouldn't the staff look over the proof ...

 

I have 1v1'ed bluapol on there servers than ban you if you even have a hack client on tor computer. He wasn't banned on it. He is legit. Some people can either get really lucky if they turn around and start hitting someone or it can be him f5ing. Tbh, we don't really have that many good or even that good pvpers on the server. We should just get anti-cheat. That would save everyone's life.

 

Staff has changed a lot since you left believe it or not.

 

If they didn't care about hackers when pvp was active then I don't see why they would now

I mean they let an active minigame die because of it

 

All bans are a private situation between the player and the staff who banned them, as well as the team. Please stay on topic to the suggestion.

I was wondering, how would a PVP staff be any different than the trained staff we have now?

In bad ways yes. This suggestion is probably gonna get denied cause staff think they are such pros at catching hackers stop being cocky and accept the mistake you've made.

They wouldn't be trained differently they just know what pvp means, do you even know what pvp stands for?
Stop defending your ban you know how stupid it is, combo=hacks kills=hacks. Might as well go ban everyone who gets a kill in pvp.

Oh look it's me, Xizilion, alting at the time and being good at PvP in a citizen account and being recorded/hackusated/whatever because I'm a citizen.
I see that it's all good when I PvP the same on my main as a donor.

It's rankist citizens get banned way easier than ranked players.

 

What happened was a joint decision from both higher ups and lower moderation staff and the proof was deemed sufficient. We never make decisions alone and we are very careful about the evidence we analyze.

 

Higher staff doesn't mean they know more about pvp and what hacking looks like.

We never ave helper/mods handled high profile pvp hacking cases and you are countering your own argument.

Saleb and Metr0 were both staff when you were banned and they are "pro" pvpers. Does that mean your ban was correct?

No Metr0n0me got demoted like a day after my ban and helped me get unbanned. Also I got banned because most staff don't know what hacks look like.

Edit: Also since they were both helpers, I was told they didn't get much say over the higher staff. It was a mod+ meeting.
