Ad Chat

Ok, many people don't like /tr. I'm here to suggest we change it to /ad. This suggestion is small, and in some cases, pointless, but I'll suggest it any ways.

Ok, so we change it to /adv (message) and instead of the "T" that everyone hates put a
"AD"

This will make it much simpler for newer player to figure out what chat to use to advertise w/o getting yelled at.

So, the thing will go a little like this

(AD/Townsa) [Ultimate] Ever wanted to live in a vault? Now you can!

+1, Trade chat is supposed to be used to clear out ALL advertisements from global, that's the damn reason why it was made.
And this way people can't make the excuse 'it's not a trade!'' even though that's stupid.

 

-1 /ad is already a command used by staff for those "vote today" type ads

 

Any suggestions for a new command?

You can't make the command more than a few letters, because then you won't be able to fit a full advert in the chat box. You want as many free spaces as possible.
I mean /a works.

 

You have a good point there. So yeah /a seams good but you could also type out advertisement or adv and it would work.

 

And it should show up as (Adv) and not just (A) no matter what
