It sucks to be a Citizen.

You donate for the perks the rank gives you, not for a fancy colorful name. I sure as hell would not give 160 dollars to have a violet tag infront of my nick.

Please, point me to people (posts, screens, etc) who don't agree with citizens having a [Citizen] rank, because when I was still actively around, I mostly heard positive feedback. Why would donators not agree with citizens having a title of recognition of being a player on the server? How exactly does it harm them or take away from their purchase (or donation, call it whatever you want)?

 

I don't personally feel like digging around denied suggestions lol. If you feel as though this is an honest suggestion that would have positive feedback, please post in suggestions and we will see the feedback and decide whether or not it's something that should be added onto the server.

 

Exactly my thoughts. I don't feel like digging around long forgotten/denied suggestions in which people thought it was a good idea. Neither do I see a point in making the x th suggestion about it. Even if it passes, it will join a HUGE waiting list on Trello and after a couple months will be discarded anyways.

Such a simple thing... Making potential donators 'something' on the server, not 'nothing'.

 

I could push it through staff suggestions but I'd rather the community input as that's more important. Unfortunately development is not under my control, sorry. Needs to follow proper channels.

What do you think I am doing in spawn a lot of the time fishing with cits and other ranks all in the one spot, also afterwards they join a player's town that they were with and mine. I have not seen anyone disrespect a cit yet.

 

You live in a very isolated world then, or don't have an eye for subtle things

 

I don't know about your timezone but when I am online they are exchanging words with myself and others and no they are not disrespected when I am online anyway.

 

I can agree with the removal of /fix tags on gear. If I kill somebody in pvp and bust my rear to fight down a player in god gear. I want my freakin reward for it.

Not some /fixed gear that I can not use anyways.

It's stupid plain and simple. I get the convenience that comes with /fix. But I can also see how it would piss somebody off to an extreme degree when you are denied a reward that should justly and rightfully be mine.

That would be akin to winning money in a poker game but then being told you can't have it because you are not of proper social status. Not to that exact degree. But its the same principal.

i completely agree with this, but then of course there needs to be some way to ensure Citizens don't feel forced to spend $80 to PvP on this server.
Which is why I think we should have the 'Limited item: /fix' thing removed, or atleast rethink the way in which it works.

 

Oh! How about citizens get a rank when they play long enough. Not a donor rank, but just a tag that says Citizen, or Experienced, or whatever thing like that. Maybe for that rank throw in a minor perk, like an additional sethome or something.

That would give nubsicles incentive to play more, and rankies to trust the cits, without them having to donate.

 

To be honest, I feel that a cit's problems can be solved with popularity. If I get on my supreme alt account, which only a few people know, I don't get many responses either because no one knows who brownie000 is.

Let's look at some recent citizens - @Glambert_Girl and @Fortemizuki . They were both citizen and yet very popular. They both have a forums account and are semi active and talked a lot in shout. They got a lot more recognition than a 'normal' citizen. (they aren't cits anymore but they were very recently.)

Problems by simply being cit, aren't simply from being cit. They're from the community not knowing them and therefore not caring even half as much.

We should care about every citizen, but consider the above if you're a citizen and want more recognition. Become more popular and make friends. Get a forums account. Hang out with people. Let people get to know you.

 

I don't know who either of those people are, but I see where you're coming from. Maybe if people didn't know that basically every citizen with god armour is me.. i'd try n play for a bit longer and see wat happens.

 

I completely agree. I've met plenty of sweet caring cits, who haven't been recognized for it. Forte and I, have been recognized for other things. Cits do matter, and I have noticed some doners sticking up their nose, but I see your point and 100% agree. Thank you Muunkee.

I played as a citizen for years and I did fine without ranks. You just have to make a name for yourself and ally with the right people. My greatest assets were ranked allies I made through my years of factions. By making a name for myself on forums I got the respect and help I needed. There's a way to go about it

 

I had suggested this, it was accepted but then denied with no further word. Even cooleysworld was cool with it at the time as well as the majority who commented on it.
