I wish the time and money had been spent on a survival world, or more custom content for towny; rather than a new spawn that has a very limited ability to draw or retain new players.

Yeah I don't like this new spawn. The moment I saw it I was thinking "wtf is this". Although maybe if you change it ALOT it could look better. But right now everything is too squished and none of the "areas" stand out, as well it's hard to navigate and see some areas, because there's no space in some spots. As well jokingly someone said to me "they only used 3 blocks" and basically they did have very little: Clay, iron block, Quartz, glass

 

That's what makes no sense to me. Who even came up with the idea of a new spawn.

 

I am very disappointed at the new spawn it is a good build but it dosent feel like a spawn. I went to the new spawn for like 5 minutes today and left because i don't want to be there unlike the old spawn.

 

You don't have that cozy and welcoming feeling you know? There's barely any calming nature materials used like wood, stone, etc. It's kind of in your face, it hurts peoples eyes, it's too glammy, I'm sure the Meep staff worked hard on it, I'm not saying they did a terrible job, but everything seems so compact, squished. There isn't any direction, from what I can see there is a hole to enter a PvP arena, I'm not saying that it's a huge problem, but some people might accidental fall down into it. I'm 99.9% sure that isn't a good way to welcome players, everything seems so? Artificial? It was like wild spawn when that came out, to much gems, etc. I don't know if that makes sense, hopefully it does.

 

I do like the new spawn, its less laggy and is new-player friendly. It like impossible to get lost.

 

I just wish they would add more rustic stuff to spawn. It feels rather cold due all the "modern" materials. But least some of the structures look nice, I just wish there would be more green, like a huge garden(I would definetly spend time there flying around a tree).

But, its still in beta, this is our chance to affect on spawn and ask for changes.

 

You know instead of being constructive im just going to show off how long I have been here by saying i liked the 2012 spawn better.

Okay in all seriousness I really like the aesthetics of the new spawn, and it feels really nostalgic of old spawns, yet new at the same time. I only have two criticisms:
1. As a non-ultimate player, I don't feel like I get a good feel of the spawn. Some of the nicest structures in the spawn are pretty large and at a hard angle to see from the paths.
B. It feels empty and unfinished. In pretty much all of the previous spawns, anywhere you could go had something of interest. Right now, most of the buildings are empty, and they have large unfinished interiors that should be being used.

 

Other than the fact I fell into the PvP arena around 3 times while flying around spawn, I still think it's really dumb. It's too complicated in my opinion, and it confuses the "kid friendly environment" Meep is targeted to. If a kid logs onto a server and gets lost, in all honesty, they'd probably quit. For this reason, I liked the 2nd spawn the best.

when really i could totally just get off my computer and join the real world!!!

In some sort of way, yes, that's true.
But in a more serious context, the spawn is where majority of the players usually are, because it's the link to every aspect of the server. If not for it, people would get easily lost, especially people that first join.
So why the fuss?
Because it's not straightforward. It's not clear. Nothing seems to be in place. It's....changed. And it can be hard to get used to change. Oh, it's ugly. Oh, it's blinding. Why the heck did Fuzzlr spend ex ex ex amount of money on it. It helps the server none. Blah blah blah. If it's not convenient to navigate through, then yes, of course it's a big deal. It's asking someone to not know the basics of one thing and move them to something in that field, but more advanced. It completely defeats the purpose. If the basics is confusing, people will think that everything else after that will only seem more complicated. It loses players to confusion. The whole plan falls flat. Yeah, the world ends. Story finished.

Finished or not, they're not editing the structural part of it. They're probably just adding some signs, tags, and other little touch-ups but nothing to do with what has already been built. The drop-in style Terrarium, for example. Many hate it, but since it's there, it's there permanently so long as this spawn stands. Again, none of the structural part of spawn is getting edited, so the same complaint made before it's finished and after will get the same feedback.

 

This community have been loyal to this server for such a long time they feel part of it . Which they are. When you have stuck with something for such a long time you want it to thrive, develop and be competitive with the big servers. If they feel the server has taken a step in the wrong direction, they should voice it.
It may just be a server for you, but this is also a server of outcasts mentally challenged etc that may find it hard to go out make friends. This community are their friends.
I know this isn't a direct answer to your post but it's still just.

Its easy tobmake friends, but its hard as hell to leave my hole.

I have autism. I'm passionate about a few things. This dumb server is one of them. Yeah, call me sad and all, but I'd rather be happy and enjoy something I have until its gone.

 

I Strongly agree with this all.

 

I agree it's to shiny for me and the old spawn was easier in some parts.
