Taxes

If I want to lower taxes of any kind, there is no real reason for my have to give them a warning. No one is going to leave my town because they have to pay less.

Fix the rule.
This is not to remove the warning altogether, there SHOULD be the warning if I INCREASE the taxes. Because people might get upset. But if I'm decreasing there's no need for a 7 day warning.

 

The only reason I think this might be a rule would be so people don't get confused as to why they are paying a different amount of taxes. This could be solved if there was a three day automated message when you go to your town (like the town message board) saying that the taxes have changed from X amount to X amount, then it would say if they were lowered or raised (again, the rule saying that you have to warn to raise would stay)

 

You can lower taxes without warning, but any raise requires a warning. Anything else according to the rule is simply a typo, or written out well enough.

 

The rules were re written very recently and I was told I had to warn even if it was lowered.
I don't wanna get in trouble, I'm just playing it safe

 

I didn't think you even had to warn for that...

But there's no reason why there should be a warning, it's just uneeded in this situation, unlike when you increase taxes.
