Are homophobic people actually gay?

I stumbled around this link http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/homophobes-might-be-hidden-homosexuals/. Do you guys think it's true? In my personal opinion, I believe it COULD be true. Please no homophobia here, I'm just curious on everyone's opinions.

 

Simple answer: they are mutant bunnies from invading alien planets fleet.

Anyways homophobic people could just be suppressing themselves because they feel that it is wrong to be gay usually from society. Maybe they don't want to think about themselves and just want to putdown other people to feel better about themselves.

 

I think it would be from self loathing. They hate themselves for being gay. I think that's what you just said. Ha.

 

An example of this is Mr. garrison from South Park. He was a homophobe who was gay. And he was hilarious.

 

But that doesn't confirm if homophobes are actual gays.

I really doubt it. What some people would classify as a homophobe is almost any christian. Statistically, it's impossible that they are all homosexual.

I can choose to be racist, I can choose to be sexist, I can choose to be homophobic. I can, therefore, become racist, become sexist, and become homophobic. I cannot become gay. Therefore, since I can control whether I am homophobic or not, it can be independent from being gay, which is not something I can control.

 

I didn't mean all of them. I meant a few.

 

Of course some are. A lot of people keep parts of themselves hidden because in their mind it's seen as wrong.

You can believe yourself to be straight if you try hard enough. Just thinking about things and thinking that something is true can greatly impact you, from liking certain foods, to 'yes, I did sleep well!' to something like this.

 

All I'll say is that the kid who'd always make fun of me for being gay in middle school ended up being gay himself.

 

I don't care about somebody's sexual preference. Just leave me out of it and we'll have no quarrel. However the second they want to use their sexual preference as a way to get special attention and use it as a double standard, that's when I have a problem.

So many double standards out these days, Sexism, racism, homophobia and the list goes on.

Long story short, I don't care. Just leave me out of it.
