Removing "Count to xxx before xxx" threads.

Then file a suggestion thread to make forum games not show up on the recent threads list if it's really a problem rather than rant about it here.

Thank you, but we are not counting like a kindergarten class. This was designed to be a fun interactive game (which it is) and it seems like it was misinterpreted by a few people.

 

By that logic, you're also ranting. All we're doing is arguing each other's points.

But that would take away the number of threads and then less people would run into the website putting less people on Meep

I really don't think forum games like this are an issue. I've only participated once (maybe twice) in these threads and it's because it just happened to pop up on the "what's new" tab on forums when I was bored. Every other time I see them, I just ignore them. no one is forcing you to read them. They aren't hurting anyone (like some of the signatures with a bunch of icons might), and a lot of people enjoy seeing the progress. I think it's kind of an interesting concept, to count to 2016 before 2016.

in regards to the signatures: you can remove the ability to see signatures in your settings 8).

 

No. I love posts with absolutely no value or purpose that do nothing but distract people from actual important issues on meepcraft. Kappa.

 

+1, I am really annoyed by those threads. They add nothing and I just don't see a purpose for them. I think we should remove those threads from recent threads on the home page.

if you mean block the forum game threads from appearing there then yes. if you mean remove forum games alltogether then NO.

So you're justification is that people should be able to put whatever they want in their signatures because there's no rule against it?


Martin Luther King said the famous quote "Nothing Hitler did was illegal" when he was giving a civil rights debate The point of the quote is that morality is separate from law. Sure, you can have your signature as whatever, but that still doesn't make it morally right. Bottom line is that Elsa's signature is clearly spam and is clearly negatively impacting atleast one person.

And that would be...? Look, it's something at an attempt to be positive. Why does it bother you so much? Being a pessimist annoys everyone. By definition, would your negativity not impact more than one person in a bad way? Please, if you can't change anything about it, don't attempt to, the situation can only get worse from there.

 

I say that FG posts cannot in any way get likes or help your account get more "popular".

Honestly, I think those should be removed. I've posted in one or two and it spammed me with alerts.

 

Under "Alert Preference", there's a way to uncheck the box to get an alert when someone replies to a thread.
Under "Preferences," you can uncheck the box saying to automatically watch a thread if you reply to it.

If you don't want to participate, then don't. They don't harm you in any way, shape, or form.

If we removed everything that negativity impacted at least one person, then we would probably all be dead. Her signature isn't spam in my own opinion.

Almost without question, Elsa's signature was designed to spread the same message to everyone on the forum (Verb, 1). She even takes credit for it.

not the point. Its a worthless thread that takes up space in the recent threads section, which is actually important for keeping up to date on threads on the forums. I'm inclined to agree with Jwarian here. Make threads in certain sections not come up in recent threads and take up more valuable space.

Participate in what? A thread of no value? I'd rather the community see threads that have intellectual value or are important in pertaining to Meepcraft than silliness. If they want to participate in the game, they can just go to the section, but its better to keep the non important and more senseless stuff separate.

 

Just because the thread has no value to you doesnt mean thats the same for everyone. but back to topic: I like the idea of them not showing up under recent threads. its like 2 blicks to see all forum games anyways.
