Ohh Python! Yaa it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it, I mean I'm only looking at the beginner sort of stuff not the advanced part. Grok is a good website to learn it, thought it costs

The question of "what is more useful" does depend on what you want to do, though. A hammer is pretty useful, but not if you want to cut down trees. If your goal is to add interactivity to web pages, JavaScript is useful. If your goal is to add Minecraft functions, not so much.

I'd say the progression so far from HTML (simple markup language) to JavaScript (simple scripting language) to Python/Java/C++ (full programming language) is a good plan. Of those, I'd say Python is the better next step, as it's easier, has a rich community for support, and has other free resources available.

I've heard good things about learning Python from Codeacademy: http://www.codeacademy.com

start with visual basic, good for beginners
    http://visual-basic.soft32.com/

simple to understand, easy to code

python is more advanced and requires you to know some knowledge of coding

I've also been teaching myself Lua, which is challenging but interesting

C++ was the first language I learned. Personally, I enjoy Voxel+OpenGL, but thats a little expert level stuff. If I had to choose it would be basic.

    I really liked this book.
You should try taking it from your library and trying it out.
