Yes I am starting this suggestion already knowing the chances of it being accepted are very low.
I believe there should be a meeble limit to how much you can /dice to prevent people from dicing away all of there meebles. 100k would be a nice max imo.
    Why:
To prevent people from making stupid decisions and risking everything they have in 10 seconds.
Players that have lost everything could soon end up quitting which then lowers the player count.
Making this change would not make anyone quit but would prevent people from quitting.

Ive never been really good at writing/typing papers and stuff. So I am sure there wouldve been a better way to write this plus more to add. But do take this into consideration.

-1, if you choose to be stupid with your money, it is your choice. Besides, it will lead to more scamming as people will dice 0 meebles, on the condition to pay large amounts over the dice limit if they lose.

Wouldn't they just dice 100k until they ran out of money if they had a serious gambling issue? Also, not to be negative towards the server, but isn't it better to make mistakes with gambling on a minecraft server than in real life?

I like it TBH, but people will probably do what @builderjunkie012 said.

I understand Summrs point. Some players don't properly read the amount that they are being offered to dice and foolishly accept. By adding a dice limit we would hope to decrease the impact that a bad game of dice can have. I like the point that @metr0n0me made: they will find ways to circumvent the limit by setting up personal amounts through agreements. Which, as we all know, leads to scamming.

Personally I am a -1 for this decision. Just being able to use the command /dice accept or /dice cancel should be a failsafe. Players literally have to take <5 seconds to read the amount they are dicing; if they can't do that then.. well they should pay the price for negligence.

I think players should be able to dice how ever much they want since dblo has designed such a solid system. The millionaires can dice millions if they choose. But if they decide to ignore the only # that matters before accepting then they are at fault.

To all the people that -1 (which is all of you) think about the bigger picture... Many many many people will quit after losing there meebles gambling, maybe even your friends, or even you? Don't you think that bringing this down will lower the risk of people quitting and being sad if this change with /dice happens?

No, people will say something like

"I'll dice you 0 meebles, but you have to pay 1 mil if you lose"
    "Ok"
    *scam*
    *quit*

Okay let's remove dice then. Nothing positive comes from it. Someone always loses and is sad in the end.

I don't think meepcraft is the correct place to learn the life lesson of "gambling". What would you rather have, someone learning the negative life lesson of "gambling" (and possibly quitting) or the life lesson of "hard work pays off".

    Think of it like this:

If we remove dicing who will quit the server? No one.

If we keep /dice and to a never ending betting limit who will quit:
New players will join the server play some fun minigames earn money maybe even build a house in towns. But then they see an ad in shout dicing "amount" okay sure why not risk doubling my money and getting a huge advantage in the "economy" then they lose... 50/50. Maybe they think okay time to restart lets go grind out mini games or wilderness mining. Orrrrr they give up and play a different server. That's one less player. What prevents this easy way to lose another player? Remove dicing.

Yes if you knew me back when I was newer to the server I hosted one of the largest 60x2 dicing casinos. Which is where I made over 10 million meebles to players who saw the chance to easily double or triple their meebles. Few won Many lost. I shortly after creating it I quit hosting after realizing how negative the experience was for newer members that lost.

The point is that gambling does not belong on this server that has players as young as 9 on it. The risk of losing members that young even if it does teach them gambling is not worth it.

The meaning of this thread was not to remove (since that will never happen) dicing but to limit its use. Also I will mention that this is a topic that is 100% opinionated on having experience with the negative and positive effects of gambling.

Not related: This is the longest post I've ever made on meep and I am trying to get the point out that /dice will lose more member then it will bring to the server.

You gotta learn somewhere, plus, kids can say " I learned how to manage my money on a game!". Parents would be pretty happy and thus, improve more activity.
I'm fine with limiting, but not too much. Remove, not at all.

    Why not?
So you know to gamble or not... If you keep losing then common sense is not to gamble anymore.

Because gambling is a serious addiction that can ruin your life.
Money management the process of managing money which includes investment, budgeting, banking and taxes. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money_management)
This server has all 4 of these aspects which is great!
But gambling has nothing to do with money management.
