It was suprising to me that no one has ever made this thread before. Please talk about Trump and his ideas, what you think of him, et cetera.

Trump should not become the presidet.

One of the arugments that I see way too many times is ''he is honest''... And WTF, how stupid are you people who believe that he will be able to do half of the things he says. He will make mexico pay for a huge wall over the whole boarder, why would they accept? He is a bit charismatic, but he does not plan stuff. A president needs the ability to plan. He just says many things, and if it's popular he reapeats it, if not he barely ever mention it again. And would you really want a rude douchebag like Trump to negotiate with other important leaders of the world?

And the other he knows how the echonomy works, and surely he has the ability to fix the US echonomy. The way you run a company and the way you run a country is completely diffrent, so even if he knows how to run a buisness, he might be the worst president the US could possibly get with an unstable echonomy.

 

he's extremely funny when he's doing all this stuff, and he gives me a good laugh quite a bit

I like him, after eight years of Bush and O"bummer" I would like to see the United States reclaim its spot as the best nation in the world (in my eyes I feel like its been going downhill). Trump also has been in business for a long time meaning he knows what he is doing when it comes to the economy. On the other hand I think he wouldn't be the top choice for president (I want to see Ben Carsen win) but he still is a very high up influence.

 

This is what way too few knows. To run a succesful company you need to do what brings profit, you need to know when the markets are shifting, and you need to predict what will the consumers buy. If a part of your company goes bad (if it's a multi company brand like Trump's) you just make a few of 'em bankrupt, and keep those who still gives you a profit. While with a nation you need to cut in various things and start paying back some of your debt. Some national debt is good, but if you get too much you will eventually run dry and everything comes falling down. Trump is not a person anyone who knows what they are talking about would give that responsibility. And also the argument that he isn't backed by a company so he won't be influenced, he IS the big bad company trying to manipulate things for the better for big companies, that is like 10x worse than anyone who is only influenced by it (as many see this as a bad thing).

yes, because that 'douchbag' is what america needs. Aren't you tired that we get pushed around by lots of nations and we do nothing? China just made another step to weaken our economy and Obama invited Xi Jinping to a State dinner. At the same time Mexico is building a wall on their southern border and despite protests from Guatemala They continue to do so. Yet we are yielding to Mexican protests on the issue of the wall. Deja Vu much? Yes, He might fall short on his promise to make mexico pay for it (unless he does something drastic) And yes his remarks are offensive, But when it comes down to the race, You can't argue that trump hasn't changed the GOP landscape for many many years to come.

OUR COUNTRY IS A DAMN MEME

 

What country is pushing us around? Explain how they are pushing us around.

Are you familiar with World History? Is it not true every single empire has eventually fallen? How realistic is it to believe that America will be the strongest country forever? (Especially with countries that have a billion people, and their internal economic could dwarf ours easily)

How did China take a step to weaken our economy? Why does it weaken our economy?

How exactly did we yield to Mexican protests? Was that 100% the reason why there is no wall built, and not our own political system, and citizens voting? Last time I checked, there was a WHOLE lot of Americans that are also against just building a giant wall, which would be useless.

Please never register to vote, because it's "you type" of people that is the true threat to the American political system. You have no idea what the hell you're talking about, and you end up voting for people that some damn television channel tells you to.

Donald Trump isn't changing anything, it's that the GOP mainstay of voters are now dying off, and the younger generations are sick of their open bullcrap. Donald Trump is winning because the rest of the candidates are crap too. The GOP is literally shoving off whatever they can and hope something sticks.

Do you even understand international politics? One country don't have all the power in that form, the us is used to pushing everyone else around as much as they want, but their power and influence has weakened so that as an example, dosen't really have more power than the EU, if the EU wants one thing in a negotiation, and the US want something else, the EU will not just blindly accept whatever the US throws at them, they will both try to push it as far in their direction as they can, and then make a sort of compromise. Often nations agree that they can do that thing like nation x wants, and another the way nation y wants.

And how is China responsible for weakening your echonomy? That their products now cost more than before? That they try to make Chinas echonomy better and may sacrifice some of the things that others used to earn more money off of their country? Nations all have one common priority, to make things better for themselves, of course helping others is important too to a certain degree, but in what way does China choosing slightly better living standards in the US over slightly better living standards in China make sense?

 

The only thing I am ticked about is that the US hasn't been out of debt since Andrew Jackson's presidency. (Even then we somehow were still in debt) I think that Trump would be ok economy wise but Ben Carsen seems like he knows more political wise.

 

America was in debt when it was the Confederation of the United States, before Washington was even the 1st President.

Can you explain why being in debt is inherently bad? Most modern countries run with debt. England being a prime example, they still hold debt from hundreds of years ago.

Also, can you explain why having debt is so bad, when our financial institutes have banked off debt since credit was a thing?

So, can it be argued, that debt is a natural part of a country.
