Certified Rank Sellers

Ello everyone!

I've seen this idea being used during a period of time in meepcraft before, but it's not being used now so I figured I could suggest it.

I only liked this idea because it helped stop many cases of theft of meebles from unreliable rank sellers. If there aren't any of these issues around at the moment then I don't think this idea would help that much, but if there is then it should definitely help.

Basically if you don't know what this idea is, it's a way of creating safer exchange of meebles when purchasing a rank from someone in game. There would be a section in the forums for people to apply in or maybe just a pinned thread where people would apply on the forums and only people on the list were allowed to sell ranks in game freely.

I know some people just buy ranks as a one time thing for maybe a close friend of something so I do still believe there could be the possibility of asking a staff member for permission for that time to sell a rank if you don't want to become an actual rank seller, but just want to sell a rank that one time.

I don't know how this idea would go, but I personally think it could help a lot with scams if those happen frequently.

This thread explains exactly why this shouldn't happen, but I'll put the reasons below just to make it easier. The thread may be old, but it is still relevant.

These are all good reasons as to why there's no point in having CRS' again.

 

Let me try to compromise here then.

What if we changed it to not being a necessity to buy from certified rank sellers, but to still have the thread of certified rank sellers to show the public which people are trusted to sell ranks. People who are looking to buy a rank can buy it from anyone they want, but if they want to feel more secure about their deal, they can look at the certified rank sellers.

I think it just gives people a sense of security when it comes to purchasing ranks in game. I know there was a player who charged back a huge amount, but there are always flaws in every system, it hasn't been popular for people to spend a ton of money on meepcraft and then charge it all back.

I think this idea could work

You should have seen the catotronix thing coming... I mean, we did on FNMC.

There's nothing stopping people who aren't CRS to sell ranks.

There's nothing stopping people who aren't CRS to chargeback.

There's nothing stopping people from getting donations from people who aren't CRS.

There's nothing stopping players from creating their own thread because nobody on the staff team has time to ask players who reliable rank sellers are.

In the end, who cares, Just make a list of reliable players that sell ranks and punish people who harass them.

I think it could work, I just don't see the point. There's nothing stopping people from making a thread like that themselves. There's also nothing stopping certified rank sellers from scamming/charging back; just because someone hasn't chargedback or scammed yet, doesn't mean they won't. They could easily become certified just to get a ton of requests, then chargeback, or get certified and scam, thinking they won't get caught. It's not as simple as saying 'These people have never charged back or scammed, they are automatically trustworthy".

I wasn't a part of staff or even the server when that whole fiasco happened.

Yes, but there's nothing stopping CRS' from chargebacking or scamming, either.

Harassment is illegal for everyone, it doesn't matter who it is against. I don't see the point in making a list of reliable players; all it does it essentially put blame for any scams or chargebacks on staff, which is not the case and should not be the case.

 

The CRSs should just be there as more reliable sources, but you could still buy it from everyone, just a bit more security.

 

I just don't see how buying from a 'CRS' is any more secure than from a regular player.

 

MeepCraft does not support rank selling, apart from buying a rank from their BuyCraft store.

 

Those players have sold ranks before. If I see some random elite selling ranks, I'm certainly going to feel more comfortable about my donation if its coming from someone who has done this process before.

 

I'm not trying to argue here, I am completely okay with having a made up thread to display people with good reputation and people with out, but I know it fill fall down the ladder and never be seen again. That is why I am just suggesting to pin it.

Being a rank seller, I know how people wanting to buy ranks are more scared than anything in the world right as they pay you the meebles. The biggest relief is seeing that the deal went through, so letting the community know of people with good reputation in rank selling could definitely decrease the scariness.

 

when you buy a rank you have to know that a citizen won't sell you vip for 200k, theyre going to log on you and use the money to get vip for themselves. If you're going to buy a rank from an ult or supreme, don't buy from someone you don't know or know will quit soon or is disinterested in the server or you may get charged back. Make smart decisions and scams are less likely to happen.
