Is spawn becoming too big?

Recently in the last few weeks, I have noticed that spawn has become very laggy. Whenever, I first enter spawn(or use a /warp) I experience a huge lag spike that lasts for quite a long time. Before, I never really had major lag problems with spawn, but now all of a sudden its lagging. I fear that this might be caused with the recent addition of many new buildings and warps. I remember how the last spawn was too big, which caused lag, which is now part of the reason that it is now gone.

This might just be my computer, so please leave feedback below.

 

Im using a MacBook Air and am experiencing no difficulties at all. Are you using a windows computer?

 

I am using windows. This lag could also be server wide too.

I almost have no lag whatsoever so it might just be you :/

 

I do believe it's too big although I don't lag, I think everything should be tighter packed and maybe even just a bit clearer.

 

It doesn't really lagg too much for me, not too noticeable. They could probably shrink it a little more but other then that.

 

I get around 5-8 FPS in spawn.

 

I'm on a $1000 laptop and am still getting 200+ fps all over spawn. And thats while I'm on battery. When i'm charging, thats a different story topping 500+ fps...

 

A thousand dollar laptop is better than most people's computers.

Whenever I warp to the donor lounge, It gets suddenly so laggy I can't move for like 3 minutes.
But I am using a really bad old computer, that's probably part of the problem.

 

My old laptop didn't lag that much at spawn, though the lag spikes were a little bit more common compared to my Mac, I usually get 60fps at spawn with no trouble at all

Though, I will admit that this current spawn is quite big, I know I was not here for previous spawns, but an improvement towards the current spawn (or an alternative) would be ok with me

 

I am worrying that with all the new buildings at spawn(which are awesome), such as the library and the water*p*ark, the current spawn is becoming like the old spawn, which was sprawling and laggy.

This is what I experience too, even with the graphics on fast and with the render distance on 8 chunks. My computer is pretty decent too, it has 6 gigs ram and a 2.66 GHz processor.

 

I get no lag in spawn...

I find the spawn very lovely, it's not bad a all. Fun to explore. Keeeep it :3
There are ways to reduce lag, though. We can get rid of some extra pholos, the banner thing with meep's logo, and some other stuff, but keep all of the main stuff already there.

 

Which one? The one before this one? Or like old meep spawn?

 

The last spawn that you could fish in the terrarium from the donar spawn in.

 

I think the PVP terrarium should be moved to it's own world.
Less lag in terrarium, less lag in spawn. It's a win-win.

I get slight amounts of lag when warping in.
The spawn is getting a little too big. It looks amazing, but it would take so long to explore the entire thing and find cool stuff. Maybe make an entire "Spawn Teleports" section where you can go into the water and it teleports you to wherever?

 

I don't have any lag but I did just get a new laptop. I quite like it but it could be confusing for new people. #bringbacktheoldoldspawnbeforemeepnetworks

 

I just had a big drop party at spawn and I had 200+ Fps with no Problems and that was with 50-80 people. If not more.
