Schematica Perk for Ultimates.

It's basically the Kindergarten version of World Edit that can't crash the server, can't be abused, can't be harmful in anyway to the server.

You basically select the area or thing you want copied then you select the area as to where you would like to put it. It makes a ghost block version of the thing that you're building so you know where it will be placed. It tells you how much and which items that are going to be used, and it will not place the thing that you're creating down until you have all of the required items for it.

Obviously this can't be abused because if you try to copy a build or something onto someone else's plot its not going to let your because you're building in someone eles's plot and it won't let you. (duh)

You can't dupe or glitch items because it wont work until you have all of the required items. And once you cancel the copy all of the items will transfer to your inventory and if your inventory is full then it will just fall on the ground in front of you.

I think this would be a perfect perk and probably better than /fly that we already have. And would make people want to donate for ultimate more. Its time Ultimate's got more exclusive Ultimate worthy perks to there title and I think this is the perfect one!

Please don't comment on this thread if you haven't actually watched the entire length of the video or ones similar to it and or haven't read the actual form post it self. You'll just make yourself look silly.

I'm not going to bash you for your grammar been their done that. But you obv didn't read the post above the actual thread for what this is about. Yes you can copy an building save the schematic but guess what? You can't actually paste it until you have all of the blocks meaning You can't paste the building until you have all of the blocks in your inventory making it impossible to dupe.

 

So basically its a quicker way to place stuff? lazy!

There are so many benefits to this mod being implemented to the server for Ultimate's only.

*Better Buildings on the server
*More active people
*More people wanting to donate money for the Ultimate perk
*Limiting the actual block copy capabilities to reduce lag
*Ultimate actually being worth the $320

I personally can't see any drawbacks with this perk except
*limiting the copy and paste limit
*having to modify the mod b4 adding it

This perk if added could obviously be limited to its liking by the actual devs/admins that add it. Its not going to be the perfect perk to add onto the server straight away, its going to have to be tweaked a little.

Any glitches for this perk have already been reported for it on the wikis page that the website url provides.

Yes you're copying an item/building that you've created but guess what? You can't actually paste that item/building until you have all of the required items in your inventory to do so. So yes its kind of like copying and pasting but its more legal and safe.

Its not being lazy its being time smart. Something that could take me 3-4 months in Alpha could probably take me 3-4 days with this perk. Its time I could be using more productively towards my town or the server. Defiantly a perk players will want to donate for.

 

Im not gona nudge this anymore, well see if its added ._.

 

If not this mod exactly something similar to it at least. You gotta at least try when it comes to stuff like this. Because if we sit to wait around for things to change, or be added onto the server as a community then nothings going to happen at all. I'd figure I would take the incentive to at least try to get an Ultimate Exclusive perk added onto the server. Just so its not /fly that's being compared to.

It takes away job opportunities for skilled builders, as instead of hiring someone to build something nice, all someone has to do is find some schematic file from some custom map that they found on the internet, and copy it down.

This is a forgemod and this server is a bukkit server so it would be impossble to implement the mod.

Yeah. This is for MINECRAFT FORGE. WE ARE USING MINECRAFT SPIGOT. It would be cool though..

+1 if possible, but there's no reason to completely change the server for this if we had to do that... 'tis silly.

(Maybe a custom one, similar/the same to this? We have capable techs....)

 

This is mostly a client side mod (eg it runs inside your minecraft client so yes it would be technically possible, as you can use a forge client to connect to a bukkit server. The issue would be the server side api that communicates with the client is written in forge, and I have not been able to find the source for this plugin to determine its portability to bukkit.

 

Note that u also get new tiers of /spawner, /dis, more room in /chest, 50 more homes, and orange chat!

 

That doesn't necessarily mean its worth the $320. When you have all of those things its easy to realize that ''Wow I paid $320 for these kind of perks?'' It would be nice to have something like this. It would be the perfect perk for ultimates.

 

I would actually enjoy this plugin. +1. It can help me build a town with the building template.
