Time for an spawn upgrade?

Introduction
Now... by this thread I do not mean a new spawn. I mean an upgrade in hardware. Now, spawn has become some what laggy recently and for a lot of new player, it is extremely laggy. I only get 30fps in spawn apart from my normal 150fps. I know the server wants a nice welcome spawn for new people to see how good our server is but it isn't helping by having stupid fps drops in spawn.
Solution?
Well, either we need a new spawn with less blocks, I mean come on, the spawn we have is packed with blocks and mountains so of course it will have an fps drop. We may need a new set of ram. DDR4 will probably be our best bet. It is expensive but we should really be able to afford it from server donations. 32gb will be plenty for spawn. It would take the lag away from spawn so players don't think... "I am not playing here with this fps here."
Benefits?
It might possibly make more people stay on the server as there will be less lag and less of a bad reputation from the start. It will obviously be better to play with as well.
Opinions?

 

This problem has absolutely nothing to do with RAM.
If a lot of players are indeed experiencing low fps in spawn it is because there is too much going on, like too much players there.
Upgrading the server's ram will only make for a faster connection, but not for higher fps.

Tried it. It makes a difference.

 

It makes a difference if you increase RAM client side, byt not server side. Well at least fps wise.
I have owned a server with only 4gb dedicated ram and had great fps, just the connection was quite slow due to the lack of good hardware.

 

The spawn's fine as-is. it's always been this way. I realy like the current spawn, there's no need to change it right now.

I never got lag in spawn. Ever.
I see no issue. Get a better computer. It's not the server side.

 

I do have a good computer. i7 and gtx 970 32gb of ram. I am not talking about myself, I am talking about players without good computers.

Not sure what else you can do here.

 

Solution: Go back to the 2nd spawn (the one with the terrarium directly under the spawn). Why? It's the right size. The current spawn is stupidly complicated and way too big. It would make sense for a server with 10 times the players as meep, but for 200-300 players I think the 2nd spawn works a lot better.

 

Already a thread. It is a good idea. When Meep gets a bigger player base (Maybe), it will be better for the time being, something small and simple

 

Simplify the spawn, waaaay to big as it is atm. no one comes on a minecraft server to look at architecture. Plus with the way it is, new players probably would lose their way around. I don't even know where I am in spawn half the time I'm there.

 

Actually, the current spawn is only seven months old.

current spawn= way to big. i liked old meep spawn everything was easy to get to
