Nice Additions to meep

1.) Our vshop at the moment is a easy place for people to scam players. Yesterday I bought 2 fences for 15k and @Piro_MC bought 8 for 60k. I think we should add a cap to each item price so like this.

Stone: Cap 10 meebles
Diamond: 1,000 meebles
Oak Wood: 25 meebles

A little overpriced so people still can make a bit of a profit for lazy people but not 7.5k for a simple fence, I find that to be down right scam.... This will also help so new players dont quit because they work to make 20k and spend it on a stick from the vshop....

2.) Add Zombie Pigman spawners to the ultimate shop, for like 250k each or more. This could be a cool addition that will allow for exclusive gold grinders. They will be not to prominent as a public grinder as just 4 would cost 1 mil + but still be a cool idea for rich ultimate's out there.

 

A scam is defined as using deception to gain money by unorthodox, illegal, or unethical methods. This is not a scam. It is clearly marked that the fence costs that amount of money, therefore is not scam. If a player is (pardon me) stupid enough to buy a fence marked at that price, then it is their fault. If the price is not clearly marked then I could understand it being called a scam, but its not scamming if the price is clearly marked and they are not deceiving a player.

 

Does number 1 just sound like FIFA making price ranges, anyway having price ranges for items would be good.

 

Y would you buy the stick in the first place if you knew it cost that much...
So you basically saw that fences were 7.5k each, yet still decieed to buy, and then thought that you would make a thread about it being 'scam', you stoopid?

The only other reason you could pissibly do this is if you were too lazy to type /find fence and just /buy one instead. But im pretty sure most people /find the item first, especially cits who have worked to make 20k and don't want to lose it.

What command did you type? This works pretty much like vshop, did you type /buy 2 fence 1000000 ?

Im almost positive you don't get the ability to type in a max price you want to buy it for. Probably wrong though.

I typed /buy 8 fence and it charged me 60k. SmShortStack and others are getting people to buy their items for crazy amounts. They are making money off of innocent people and a cap would definently stop this from happening.

 

You don't have to buy it though. If when you do /find the price is too high, go buy some sticks, or some planks, or just got chop it down. Dont be lazeh

 

I ran into this same sort of problem for buying sticks. You know what I did afterwards to change that? I stopped being lazy and made my own sticks.
These "scammers" are merely capitalizing on your and others' laziness, so if anyone's to blame, it's you. Just saying.

EDIT: About the zombie pig spawner suggestion. Get rid of the ability to trade gold for meebles at the meep bank, then add the zombie pig spawner. -1

 

Happened with a door once. I bought 2 doors for FOURTEEN KAY(yes) from SMShortstack because I didn't expect it would be so much. Also, guess what else made it even better. The doors didn't even appear in my inventory or on the ground. Oh well!
But yeah, having some kind of max or rule about stuff like this would be a good idea.

 

The thing is that I shouldn't have to waste time looking for a certain item when i should just be able to /buy it. It defeats the purpose of a virtual shop.

 

You call 5 seconds typing /find wasting time... It really doesn't..

 

Or, regardless, you could type a max price if you wish. That way you couldn't accidentally buy something for too much

I've never bought something for too much money on vshop because I'm not lazy. I do /find first, or I do /buy amount price to avoid buying too much. Actually, in old meep, I would only buy from vshop if I truly needed to; you could go out and cut down a tree

This is your problem. The gist of making money is you need to put work into it, so if you want to avoid losing it, you need to do that as well.

 

This is denied, ultimately, we're not here to protect you from every mistake you make.
