    can you make a post that goes into detail about how the stock system in game works?
    i want to feel confident that i understand how the meepcraft version of the stock exchange works before i invest.
    also is this just for the nyc stock exchange and is this for things like currencies and commodities too?

    New Feature: I account for stock splits (When a stock halves in value and doubles in amount of shares) by multiplying the sell price by the ratio between shares outstanding (total number of stocks in circulation) and the original shares outstanding. (Stored on the Stock Note)

    That way you will not lose money if the stock splits and the price goes to half of its previous value. You’ll sell for the new price times 2 to account for the split.

    You can also Short Sell. Click on the broker and look for the red buttons.

    This is so cool! :D To all the staff working on these updates, thank you! It's exciting to see some long-awaited things become reality, along with some surprises.

    I do have some concerns about the lottery (http://meepcraft.com/threads/help-me-understand-something-please.47248/page-2#post-485090) but I understand that there have been changes made to it, and so far they seem to be working.

    Stocks don't really connect to MeepCraft's in-game economy at all, but I don't really care. The concept is just so much fun - and educational! I think some kind of guide/tutorial would help out the kids who might be learning about the stock market for the first time... or those of us who are older and may still not totally get it... ;)

    I think this is awesome, as it can teach kids about real life stock trading, and how it isn't necessarily a guaranteed way to make money. It will teach them (us) patience/the value of research.
