Before you start saying it's pointless because we have lottery, I make this suggestion to be used alongside the lottery or if needed instead of lottery, or you can set your own raffle!

I think it's a good idea to make your own little raffle lottery ish.
It both makes you win money, and the player win money also.

You can put in how many maximm tickets you want available to your raffle. This can be anywhere from 10 to 1,000.

Then you can type in how much you want to charge per ticket. This can be a minimum of 10.00 meebles to 10,000.00 meebles.

Then, select the duration. (Units are in minutes, range from 1 minute to 180 minutes)

Then after that, select how much profit you want. This basically means a selected percentage of the total money spent on the raffle will be given to one player. This can be from )% to 50%.
For example, if you set 200 tickets, at 50.00 each (Let's say all 200 tickets were bought), and you select the profit percentage to 20%. The winner will receive (10,000 - 2,000 = 8,000) meebles. You will get 2,000 meebles back.
I will write some examples of commands below.

Before executing the whole command you need some maths. Remember that /calc is actually a command you can use.

Below I will go through it in command view.

    Me: /raffle start 200 50 120 20%
(Raffle: 200 available tickets, 50 per ticket, 120 minutes, 20% profit)

COM: We will take 10,000 meebles from your account for this raffle. Do you want to continue? /yes or /no

    Me: /yes

COM: You started a raffle. It will last 2 hours.

So now you're wondering, what about the 10k? I'll explain later.

After 120 minutes, the raffle finishes. The COM then says

    eg.
COM: The lottery has ended! 60 people bought tickets! The winner will be chosen in a few seconds...
COM: Fuzzlr has won the raffle! As the host declared a 20% profit, Fuzzlr wins 2,400 meebles!

COM (In private to me): 140 tickets were not bought. You get 7,000 meebles back. (This was the remainder of the 10k which was not used)
COM: As you declared a 20% profit, you also get back an additional 600 meebles)

So, let's use some random raffle examples...

    /raffle start 500 150 60 %10
    500 tickets, 150 each, 60 minutes, 10% profit.

After 60 minutes, 320 people bought tickets out of 500 available.
    150x320 = 48,000 (take 10% away = 43,200)
    The winner recieves 43,200 meebles.
180 tickets were not used, meaning 27,000 meebles were not used.
You get back the 27,000 meebles, plus the 4,800 10% profit.

    /raffle start 20 30 30
(Not netering a percentage automatically sets it to 0% profit, winner gets all the money)
    20 tickets, 30 each, 30 minutes, 0% profit
After 30 minutes, 18 of 20 tickets were bought.
    18*30 = 540, winner gets 540 meebles.
2 tickets were not bought, meaning 60.00 meebles is returned to the host.
There is no profit, so you don't get any extra money back.

Tell me if this was a bit cramped, but I think personally it's a good idea to start your own lottery raffle ish. I'm not intending to use this instead of lottery, we should keep the lottery, it was fun :D

Unneccesary comments to this thread will be reported, and I'll link @Deinen just in case there is any, since there was a bit of beef a couple of days ago lol.

Information which I forgot to put:

A maximum of 5 raffles can happen at any one time.
You can use /raffle list to view current raffles.
If you want to buy a ticket or more for a raffle, type:
/raffle buy [host name of raffle] [Number of tickets you want]
Instead, what could be good is each raffle can be given a specific number for classification.
    /raffle buy 1 20

For example, the layout could be:
    /raffle list
    Then below:
    1. SpiderAttitude - 220/300 (220 tickets have already been bought)
Ticket Price: 50 meebles (20% profit)
    Time Left: 47 minutes

    2. _Rigel - 7/20
Ticket Price: 250 meebles (0% profit)
    Time Left: 130 minutes

    3. Fuzzlr - 300/885
Ticket Price: 600 meebles (10% profit)
    Time left: 4 minutes

So If I wanted to buy 5 tickets from Fuzzlr's Raffle, I would type:
    /raffle buy 3 5
Since fuzzlr's raffle is number 3, I will type 3, then the amount of tickets I wanna buy (5).

Notification if a raffle has just started:
Urirakan has just started a raffle!
    300 tickets are available.
Each ticket is 25.00 meebles (40% profit)
It will last for 80 minutes.
Type /raffle info Urirakan for more information.

Notification is a raffle is about to end:
Urirakan's raffle is ending in 5 minutes!
Up to 39 tickets are available.
Type /raffle info Urirakan for more information.

Notification if a raffle has somebody win:
Sjoepappentrap has won $55,000 meebles from urirakan's raffle!
Thank you for taking part in this raffle.

I know. I'm suggesting a proper command system for it, to make it a bit more efficient, easy and effective. Plus there's less chance of a scam happening.

So both staff and regulars can do it? or is it a rank perk?

If this is implemented, the chat will get completely clogged with people setting up raffles, as nobody wants to bet and everyone wants to own the raffles (guaranteed money with no risk).

    I'd say VIP+.
I thought I put it on the title post but I take it I didn't (I'll edit it in a moment)

I think that's a great idea . It's handy if you need a little bit of pocket money for something but a suggestion they can't go for longer than half and hour or someone could dominate the system

How, exactly? there's countless ways you could benefit from even small differences in price and ticket count.
It seems I can't edit the post. I forgot to mention, the minimum tickets you can buy is 40 on any lottery. So that encourages you to make a bigger lottery, ish.
So be warned that the smaller the lottery, be warned that a noob could take pretty much all the tickets!

If you had it for let's say 5 hours no one else could have a go and it would be unfair

No you can buy more than 40 tickets; the people who win a ton just spambuy the tickets.
3 hours is way too long; 5 lotteries per 3 hours would clog up the queue and wouldn't help anyone make money at all. It should be 30min or 1h max.

Now I get what you mean. I'd say one hour max is the best. 30 min is kinda short for 5 lotteries.
