When did you join Meepcraft? March 2013 (MN and stayed for MeepCraft)

Introduction: Hi. You all know me best as Dem0Gorgon. I live in Southern Illinois and enjoy playing computer games. I started playing Meep near the end of MN. I decided that it was my favorite server as I took great interest in the towny experience. Not too far into it, the server was intentionally crashed by the staff in efforts to rid it of CrueltyGaming. I anxiously awaited the opening of MeepCraft. I have been playing quite frequently since the opening of MeepCraft.

Why should you be Helper? I have always been pretty active on MeepCraft. Within MineCraft, MeepCraft is the server that I play the most by far. I am on the server daily and for long lengths of time. At some points of the day that I am on, I see no staff on, or few staff that seem like they could really use the extra help. I enjoy answering questions that players put in shout. At first I didn't feel that I could ever agree with staff or want to be a staff member, but after some time, I have started to see (with the help of Devil) that it isn't always what it seems. I know the duties can be demanding and tough, but I feel like I could potentially be an asset to the team. I'm quick to pick up new things, so I do not think that learning to use staff tools would be difficult.

I think the current staff team is the best we have had in a long time, maturity wise and knowledge wise. I believe that I would add to those qualities. I have been playing the server long enough that I have a great knowledge for many different aspects of the server (I do lack in some minigames).

When I do have questions, I'm not afraid to ask for help. I like to do things right the first time. I don't like to misinform players or leave them without an answer.

What are your weaknesses? I have a tendency to hold grudges. I don't forgive easily and I don't always agree that some people deserve second chances. Although I'm generally easy to reason with, I have times where my opinion is hard to change.

My grammar and spelling are quite terrible when I rush my typing. (Devil is trying to teach me how to use grammar/spell check). I am slow at typing most of the time.

I was once, not too long ago, very vocal on not agreeing with staff decisions. Although that has changed for the most part, I think it's important to mention it.

Although I know a great deal about towny and skyblock, there are some areas of the server that I don't spend much (if any) time in. (Halo, CTF, and HG)

I do have one ban on my record: An x-ray ban made by Bob4444444. This ban was overturned and found to be undeserved. (One of the things relating to my first weekness. I was very upset with Bob due to this.)

I'm not very active on TS. I do have it, and I have used it before. I have a general knowledge of settings and how to it. Same with Skype. I have it and I CAN be active (reading and such) but I may not participate in conversations much. As I said previously, I am slow at typing.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: A motto that I go by is: "There is always room to learn more. When you stop learning, that's when you stop succeeding." I do know a lot about the server, but I feel there is more to learn and I am willing to learn more. If I am not accepted, I hope that I am left with things to work on. I enjoy this server so much and I really want to see it prosper.

 

+1, me and you never got along in the early days, mostly because we both tend to be too blunt for our own good, which has led to misunderstandings. But you are opinionated, and able to deliver that respectfully.

I've been pretty inactive for a couple of months now, but the main thing I remember about you is how you never missed a chance to trash staff. It wasn't just a matter of being "blunt" or "vocal" (which I wouldn't have a problem with), but at many points being out-and-out rude and nasty when it was truly uncalled for. Needless to say, I'm surprised to see not only this application but also the positive comments on it - especially long-time staff members saying they've never had a negative experience with you!

That said! I've seen others with a similar past turn things around, and I've supported them as staff. And when I have popped in and seen you ingame or on the forums, there has been no evidence of the attitude I used to know. Your application was good, I love your quote, and the positive feedback from staff speaks to the fact that you have indeed grown. (And Cooleysworld is quite the reference!) I don't have a "vote" because I'm not really active enough to give an educated one. But I wanted to say good luck, and I hope I get the chance to see in you what others have been seeing lately.

I have always wondered why you havent applied, cus I thought you would be awesome! I havebt seen anything negative before, but then again i dont pay that mich attention to things.
The only negative i have is that you seem a bit quiet in terms of convorsations in global chat. It could just be that you dont wanna talk to us kids
