To answer your question Dienen, I'm no expert on servers but I have confidence Meepcraft would be able to pull it off and make Meepcraft factions unique from all of the others. Meep has done in the past with plenty of things and we can do it with this!.

sorry, as much as I love factions I think there are more negative sides to it than positives.

 

so... people can't curse in towny? People can't scam in towny? People can't hack in towny? There's more negatives in towny (since griefing is illegal) than factions.

 

People probably won't come to Meep for Factions alone, you are right. But it gives people something new to see and another reason to join Meepcraft. And whenever we add new gamemodes, they always come through with donations. Just try it out.

I hate saying this because it is so obvious. But I will say it again. If a player is being toxic, harmful, or doing something they should not be doing...

THEY WILL BE BANNED.

Otherwise, they are not breaking any rules and shouldn't be a problem.

That's not true at all. First of all, the staff on Meepcraft are all very diligent workers and trust me, they get the job done. But in any case if it did become a problem then they can just recruit more mature players who are eligible for staff. Maybe even just a whole team for factions. In any case, staff is no issue.

 

Honestly, I would probably apply for faction's staff.

+1. Factions would make a ton of people to the server, and they would donate, also, so the server would keep going up. Good idea.

 

I got to say a few things, and this is more of a rant than anything to be honest. If you don't want to hear me rant then please pretend this comment doesn't exist.

I'm tired of hearing the same comments every time we bring up factions. "This will bring toxic players" (Like Killer2themx said, if they break rules then they will be banned) How will we compete against the other servers?" (The same way we compete against all the servers with hunger games, towny, kitpvp etc.) (sorry this one is more directed towards Deinen and I apologize for that.)

Basically there are a crap ton of kitpvp, hungergames, ctf servers out there I can go to that have better gameplay than Meeps (especially Kitpvp)

Face it. Towny gets Extremely boring when nothing interesting happens. I just see people building either casinos, plots with residents that don't play, OP shops, Grinders. Then what do you do? Except for building more plots. I'm saying there is no action.

If it doesn't add as many players as you guys wanted it to be, maybe then you can delete it and call it a failure? It doesn't hurt to try, but it's even worse to not try at all.


And that is the end of my rant, I might've come on strong on certain people. You make valid points and I respect your opinion, but really need to stop saying the same thing every time factions is brought up.
