a n00bslayer's guide to Ban Appeals

Don't get banned.
A very self-explanatory and easy step. However, if you fail it like I did, read on!

Write a long appeal. (further guide below).
The longer the appeal the better. You're going to need lots and lots of juicy information, and a ton of text trying to persuade the staff members to unban you. (explain it in every way possible).

So, you went down to get a yoghurt and in the meanwhile your brother went on your PC and used X-ray?
Look, we all know you did it. Unless you have legitimate proof that it wasn't you, just admit to it straight away and don't use any lame excuses - this way, you'll get unbanned much quicker.

Patience is key.
Be patient. Your appeal might take 3 hours to be handled, it might take 3 weeks. Whatever it is, just sit tight. Absolutely do not bump your appeal, the staff are aware that it is there, and if it's taking a while it may well be a good sign. Just be as kind and helpful as you can, and do not argue!


Writing your ban appeal....
You're gonna need to be 100% truthful and put in as much effort as you can. The appeal could be the final decider.
Here are the steps:

• Explain what you did wrong
• Perhaps explain why (NOT "my brother did it", maybe going through rough time etc)
• Explain what you've done to change that
• Explain why the staff should consider letting you back
• Explain what assurances the staff have this won't happen again

He never said the guide would certainly get you unbanned. On the other hand, there really isn't much to know about writing an peal. Just admit to what you did wrong, and tell the staff that you are actually sorry, not just trying to get back on the server to do it again. However, if you were falsely banned, that's a different story.

Do you really think I took you seriously? You even said "lol" in your post. What I'm trying to say is that, either way, the guide wasn't accurate and that good (no offense).

 

I like how Meep does it the Soviet way, regardless of what we say. Guilty until proven innocent.

 

Not really. The staff only ban people once there is proof of them committing an offence, which would make it innocent until proven guilty.

 

Butttttt they ban "players" minecraft accounts even if someone's bro committed an offense.

 

Here's an analogy to this.

Say you rent a house. Every Saturday, you have wild house parties in your rented house, against the terms of the contract, which states that you may not have drugs or smoke inside the house. The landlord finds the house in shambles one day and says to you:

"You'd better stop hosting those parties, or I'm going to evict you. As it is, I'm going to have to charge you for the cleaning." You agree to pay the cleaning fee and to stop hosting parties. The next Saturday, you leave the front door open and post a sign saying "Free beer and smokes inside, party all you want." Then you go to your girlfriend's house. On Monday, the landlord comes back and says,

"What did I tell you last week? I told you to stop hosting parties! Why, then, is there cigarette damage and evidence of marijuana? You're evicted."

You respond: "I didn't cause the damage, my neighbors partied inside. They caused it. I was at my girlfriend's house and didn't have anything to do with the damage."
