ugh just put 2 enchanted armor pieces (same type) into a crafting table; you'll get an unenchanted one...

 

That makes no sense to me, you're basically throwing out two perfectly good armour items for one

 

Yeah, that's assuming that they get the enchantment back as a book instead of exp or lapis. Also, the penalty for using it has not been stated so it's not like the free /fix that you had stated.

 

if they have crap enchants; you can do the same thing with tools and weapons, its basically /unenchant with the penalty already in place...

 

The "penalty" is actually the 80% chance of the item breaking, so theres not much need for it; Sorry

 

your new suggestion IMO is useless as there already is a way to unenchant items. Its a waste of manpower while other things could be made/fixed

 

Well it kind of ruins the abusement of /fix in the situation, which is probably what the command needs (and how is it a waste? The command goes like: use command on item, 500 meebles gone, item destroyed (8/10 chance), book received (0.5/10 chance), little bit of xp gained; Boom, done; Nothing else

 

you can craft 2 enchanted items to get 1 unenchanted...

 

But whats the point in that?

Also it should just wipe the enchants not give you the books in return

 

This seems ridiculously overpowered. The whole thingy with enchanting is it is supposed to have some sort of a risk to it.

 

+1 this is definitely something donors need, and it could be potentially useful incase you get a bad enchantment. but, it could lead to somewhat duping by taking almost broken items and converting them to new lapis/exp orbs.

 

I say it just clears the items enchant data if that's possible. Nothing in return but the item without the enchants with the same damage.

 

This command would be a good idea
