Redstone Museum

So I have noticed quite a lot recently on this server and others that a majority of players don't understand redstone machinery. I was wondering if staff could possibly make a warp or some other place to build simple redstone components and explain what they do and how they work to show those who don't understand redstone, thanks for your time

 

Yeah i stink with redstone and anything machines so please make a place where i can learn

 

nah, people who are good at redstone make money by helping the people who don't or they be helpful and do it for free, by having a museum you are sorta taking away their gift

 

Or they could google it and make it easier.
Or hire someone.

 

I don't think this is necessary nor is it the responsibility of the server to teach players how to play Minecraft. Youtube and other websites provide sufficient tutorials for those who care enough to explore them. -1

Will you set up a redstone machine to make the redstone museum. Cough Y4cky is a REDSTONE MACHINE cough.

Yes youtube and google is a good supplement for anyones lack of talent in redstone. This is not the best supplement though, I tried looking up how to make a lottery machine about 10 times and couldn't find what I needed or what I'm referring to. I think this is a very good Idea before I get into why let me say ------>+1!! My reason being there are some things you can't find on youtube for example the lottery machine as said before, the 1000 items when you buy an item shop machine is also not there. (IF I MISSED A VIDEO PLEASE SEND ME A LINK TO THAT YOUTUBE VIDEO!I CAN USE IT !) Also things like elevators or other cool redstone things would be nice even though it's on youtube this would probably be the source of redstone help more meepers would use and would be very helpful.
Also I think that everyone at anytime should have access to this warp and then if they're still very confused then they can /modreq for assistance.Anyways I really like this idea and really really hope it gets implemented for the sake of my lack of skill in redstone and for others with the same disadvantage!

Yes I see your point but I personally have had terrible problems with hiring people to do redstone for me. Either they won't explain how to use it and then I brake it or they just steal my stuff, not build/fix it, and leave . Although this could just be my experience with hiring redstone builders. So, good point

 

I think your better off learning how to do it yourself than hiring someone to do it for you.

 

Yeah, but if it's not on youtube because it involves chest shop signs someone has to teach you

 

PS I am a pretty good Restoneist I'm just saying that for younger/less talented players could use this. Also YouTube and Google is great but sometimes you just need it to be built in front of you where you can get angles from every side.

 

There was something like this in the town I was in in Old Meep, although I never saw it fully functional. I think it's a really cool idea, honestly!

 

This is a great idea to describe red stone to noobs. I think we should display basic concepts and get harder and harder, and maybe machines that are just for fun (piston holes, door opener, etc), but NO auto farms. So maybe the first thing you do is explain the purpose of the items then put them in application and start making basic machines (bud switches, block updators, etc) and then get to the for fun builds (doors, traps, etc).

I love the idea, but I think our first priority is getting the down worlds back *cough*skyblock*cough*

Yeah, I have one question to bring up though, would it be a warp off of spawn like /warp shop, /warp spleef or would it be it's own world? Just curious

 

Idk but I think it would be pretty cool if it was off spawn... A massive redstone-themed building taking it's place among the other warps.
