Rank tokens

There's not really a need to build up tokens before getting a rank. Assuming rank sellers sell $10 ranks for 1 mil (though it's usually about 750k), what is the benefit of a person amassing 4 tokens, each costing 1 mil, to go from exclusive to elite as opposed to saving up the 4 mil and spending it all at once?

 

Well you'd have to be kinda stupid to buy vip 3 times.

 

Considering this scenario has never once happened, there is little I can offer for a solution. Also considering that to do that, you would have to select the "Buy" button on the VIP rank, then click "Add to cart", then click "Back", then select the "Buy" button on the VIP rank, then click "Add to cart", then click "Back" again, selecting VIP once more, clicking "Add to cart", then putting in your information.

If you would like to offer a plausible scenario, I would certainly change my response. -- But at the end of the day, we've never refunded donations, we've applied a mis-bought rank on the person it was intended for.

Here is the issues I see with tokens. The server can't sell them because it makes absolutely no sense for the server to sell these tokens at a rate of 1/3 that we sell meebles at. Additionally, rank prices from rank sellers will change regardless of this token, and once a rank is worth more than $10 per 1M, I suspect very rank sellers will be willing to accept less money.

This solution is not practical, and it's not solving any current problem. The only problem I can see this a solution of, and a bad one at that, is to break up higher rank purchases, such as Ult, Supreme, etc. But if we're searching to do that, I have no doubt that there is better ways to do this.

MeepCraft has always had a hands off approach to rank selling, it's not the preferred method to donate, but it's not illegal, I don't see this approach changing much, it's worked well enough.

If it's your first time donating to a server the system can be confusing.

 

I thought that re suggest this to balance the economy, which is helping the server. With the correct prices, this could help stabilize the inflated economy. If you look at the economy now compared to like 5 months ago, the meeble isn't worth half what it was then. It's not like people can just redeem the card for 10$ it's just a 10$ coupon some-what.

These don't have to be related to the price of meebles on forums in any way at all. If giving someone a title and some little commands can stabilize the economy I would do it any day.

 

Deinen is making a really good point. There is literally nothing wrong with the current system. I feel like this would just be another addition that we don't need. There isn't a reason to have this because it is just the same thing as the current system, you are just adding more work to what the developers already have. The only reason we would need to do this is if this made things better for the server or easier. I don't think this has any benefit that the current system doesn't have.

It's not the fact of buying VIP 3 times that I'd care about, it's the customer service that I'd be receiving after a donation would go wrong.

 

If you buy a rank and type in the wrong name, provide a receipt, we 100% help you fix this. If you accidently donate for something you don't need, and want a refund? We've never done this.

If I bought Ultimate today, and then said oops! I'm already ultimate! I'm out that money regardless, it's not refunded.

If I am correct, this is how it operated when you played long ago as well? We didn't refund erroneous purchases.

 

No, I wouldn't expect a full refund for a accidental purchase. But say if someone were to purchase cit-ultimate when they were a supreme already. Would they be able to receive the $160 in other products, like heads/meebles/fireworks?

I'm not 100% for this rank tokens idea, but I think there could be ways we can improve the Meep donation system.

 

Yeah, of course, we're going to work with the player, they are our customers in effect. We're certainly not going to laugh at them and count their money in front of them. While I may have been a bit blunt, which I tend to do at times, there is a modicum of self-accountability that also needs to be present when donating.

 

If you are supreme you can't buy ultimate for the full price, but I get what you mean and what Deinen said will happen if you do exedently spent to much
