Quick Suggestion

Forum games usually have a lot of comments; because of this, posts in the FG section shouldn't count as an actual post, and liking should be disabled in the section. It may not seem necessary, but I think that it will deem useful for some people.

 

+1. Forum games are used too much and have no real content inthem, and really only bump up your posts.

 

People like posts left and right, just because that happens in FG threads doesn't mean likes should be removed from them.

Someone put the effort to type their message, so it should count as a message. If someone agrees or likes the message it should be counted as a like, you don't need to change the system.

I -1 because there are like bot people everywhere, doesn't mean likes should be removed. So just because FG leads to like doesn't mean FG shouldn't count towards your achievements

 

So should staff members not get posts and likes when they accept/deny a report, suggestion or ban appeal?

I like liking things in forum games. some things can be funny that I just need to lick the "like" button to show the person I appreciate their opinion and I think you are better then everyone else in this game.

 

Maybe just remove the fact that posting in the FG section adds to your post count? Some people have a lot of posts in FGs and they never get liked.

Actually no I dont think they should. This is a volunteer job, they shouldnt expect rewards such as likes.

 

Our post count tends to shadow our like count, a lot of our posts isn't public to get liked, heh. So disabling our posts in those areas would help our post/like count.

It's not expected to get a like, or 10 likes, or 100, because you accepted a report/banappeal/whatever. Staff do it because they want too.There is no expectation of likes, it just happens.

There's no point in having posts/likes added up to your count when it's a forum game with no real content, though.

 

I actually deleted the forum account that had the 2000 likes and 1000 posts trophy. I really couldn't care about my posts or likes, heh. I got what, 32 likes for "LOL", so there isn't a high standard.

 

This is why we have a forum games section...
to have FUN......

 

This is denied for now, due to technical limitations and post/likes are there to show participation on the forums, and a forum game is just as as much a participation than say, most discussions.
