Put anti cheat back in kitpvp

The number of hackers we're getting in kitpvp is only increasing. Put anti cheat back in. Numbers of hackers will hopefully decrease. Less people rage in shout from hackers in kitpvp. Fewer staff hours are forced to monitor kitpvp rather than doing other staff activities.

No, it made kit unplayable. Hit detection was horrible and the only way to kill someone was with a bow.

Yes, there hasn't been a day in KitPvP where I HAVEN'T seen a hacker. This needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY!

 

that was hit detection, not anticheat. I believe they are currently working on some form of anti-cheat for kitpvp...

 

This is currently being worked on, we can't just drop the plugin as is back in because it was causing conflicts with other things, and it was causing more than a minor bit of harm. Onis was talking about this a few days ago certainly on his to do list.

I think we do have an anti-cheat (Why else would some fly hacks suddenly log off in mid-air then come back?), the problem is that we need to make it stronger.

 

No, we don't have anti-cheat. There are more than enough examples of hackers flying and high jumping all over kit to prove that. Still, if it's on the books to get implemented then I'm somewhat satisfied.

Yeah anti cheat is needed asap. Fly hackers everywhere.

 

I don't want to sound like a total noob.. What is anti-cheat? And is it simple to add into Meep?

 

Anti-cheat doesn not protect against Kill Aura, Aimbot, Triggerbot ect. It protects against movement hacks. This will not change our regular Kill Aura hackers. Although it will limit the hacks that hackers can use, It doesnt prevent Hacks.

 

Kill aura hackers are easy to deal with, it's the ones you see zipping around the map in the air or super jumping that are ridiculous.

 

Why can't you guys take it out of terrarium too? Holy crap it's like you guys tried to bake a cake with anti-cheat, but you forgot to buy the other ingredients so you just filled it with anti-cheat hoping to cover it up. (You can't pvp at all in there)

Kitpvp doesn't need anti-cheat. Sure the people flying around and stuff are annoying but they get dealt with easily if you know how to file a /modreq.

Just wait for it to be added. If you get hit with KB you'll lag back and you can't be hit for like 5 seconds and you can't hit anyone.

Have you tried to file a /modreq reporting a kitpvp fly hacker? Standard response?

No, filing a /modreq doesn't get it easily dealt with. People may have different experiences than me with this, but that's 100% the response I get every time. If you don't have proof the staff member will need to come moderate or if you do then you gotta render up your video which takes a lot of time for some people. Besides, filing the /modreq to get a staff member there takes away from staff time to be doing other, more productive things - as I already highlighted. Catching flying kitpvp hackers does not come up high on the list of things staff seem to care about, since they're a dime a dozen, but adding anti-cheat back means staff don't have to worry about the plethora of people in /modreq and /g crying out "There's a hacker in kitpvp", and players won't get frustrated about seeing another flying n00b in kitpvp.

 

Yeah, that high-jumping crap I saw with my own eyes.
