Introduction: Hello, I am Alex. Most of you know me as Ad. I am a straight A student in Colorado who enjoys Minecraft, poetry, writing, and anime. I have been playing Minecraft for over 3 years, and in October of 2012, I discovered Meepcraft. I started with some parkour, and that is all I did for a while. In 2014 I became extremely active and just connected with the comment. I love the whole idea of town servers, and just having to live off money in game. I enjoy writing short stories and poetry. Not only do I enjoy writing poetry, but I also love to read it. My life currently is reading, Meeping, sleeping. These are all some of my favorite things to do.
Some of you know I was a previous staff member. My first time at it I was not so good. I enjoy this server too much to be inefficient. I learned a lot from my demotion, and it helped me in game, and in real life. I have learned more than I ever would have expected this month. I learned some major life skills and lessons. Meepcraft will always be my favorite server due to the tightly bonded community of players. This place seems to always be a happy place where everyone knows each other. It may have certain down points, but I will remain loyal until the end of my career!

Why you should be Helper? After much thought I have decided to reapply for staff. Not only is it one of the most fun things I have ever done here, but it is also something I can do to really help this server. I have so much experience in Meepcraft. I have been loyal for 2 years, I have experience with being a staff member, and have donated and been active in ALL parts of the server for a while. However, my first time at staff was not so great. I think I was just excited about the rank. I cared about helping, but I was over looking that. I have grown past this! I now realize that I truly want to help this server. "Becoming Staff is not about yourself. Once you get past your wants you realize it's better to make others happy than to make yourself happy." That quote has taught me so much. I now realize that I have a true passion for helping the members of this community! My demotion taught me to care about what I do. I could not help nearly as much after my demotion. Now I want to help this server for the players of it. It is really hard to want to be helper to help, but I have done it. I have potential to make this place an excepting, helping, fun server for however long to come. These are my reasons why I should be helper again.

Maturity

I have recently been trying to be more mature. I have improved on this immensely. After many months of struggling with this, I have moved past this issue and made it a high point. I can handle any situation in a mature, calm, and unbiased manor. That is a very important part of being staff which I believe I have. Although I have been pretty mature these past years, I have improved on it. After my demotion I realized that I wanted to change that about me. So I set my mind to it and completed what I set myself out to do. Now I can consider myself to be very mature. I think that this would increase my productivity, my spirit, and my willingness to work in certain conditions.

Knowledge

Because of my experience, I know all the basic commands that a helper needs to know. I got a town while being helper, and I know all the towny commands 100%. I actively own a beta town and an alpha town. I have owned my alpha town for 2 months and my beta town for 3 months. I am always there to help them get settled into a new plot. Although need basic knowledge for helper, you need more. You need to be assertive. This was my main issue as staff. I didn't enforce the rules as well as I should have. I was too busy trying to be the nice guy. Now I have moved on from that and am more serious. I have become assertive, and I let someone know if they are breaking a rule. If I become staff once more, I could really enforce the rules and make sure that all members are behaving. I am aware that banning is hardly the main part as helper, but this used to be an issue that I resolved. My knowledge of bans is also a +. I have completed a ban for almost every offense. From ads, to theft, to inappropriate builds I have done done it all. Of course banning is hardly the main point of helper, but when the times come I am trained and ready for all parts. I have used prism several times and caught criminals. Ever since my demotion I have been determined to help the server more, but I don't want to be bad at my job if I get accepted again. I have started taking tutorials on how to use prism (the new hawkeye). I spend most of my free time in meepcraft, but I also have been taking notes on how to use prism. I consider myself an expert in how to use prism because of my months of experience with it. Prism is a very difficult plugin to understand, but I believe that because if my new experience with it I can bring a special addition to the team. I think that meepcraft is about being inclusive, and a fool would become helper to punish people, but it also necessary at certain times. It may seem cruel, but I am now a very serious person with my job, I will not yield to punish someone. It is what must be done to keep this a running server.

Quality>quantity

I want to help this server. I truly do, but I can't accomplish as much as I hoped for as a citizen. I help as much as I can in shout, helping the citizens of my town, and the new comers. In my time as staff I wasn't always answering modreqs. This was one of the reasons that lead to my demotion, but over the course of that time I have learned to do things 100% thoroughly. I always have been thorough and determined to be 100% great in everything I do, and remain like this. I still believe that 1 modreq can change a new player to a regular one. This is why I want to have another chance to be more thorough in modreqs. Every day I do what I can to improve the population of the server, but s modreq is a better way to maintain the current players. That is still improving the population. I enjoyed answering modreqs in the past, but I now realize that I want to improve on this. To become someone who does quality over quantity.

Activity

When I am not at school or not reading, I am here. When I can't sleep, I come here. That was a major + when I was staff before. A lot the spammers and people who use bad language come on at night. I have punished many people for this in my time. My activity is a very great thing when it comes to staff. It helped me before, and I assume it will if I get accepted. I am diligent and welcoming as well as a very active player. I devoted a lot of my time to this place as have donated and wish to keep it a welcoming and safe server for people of all ages.

System to apply

Because I am so dedicated to the server, I have created a system to apply for staff. I had a set time for when I would apply, but every kick or act of immaturity would add a week for when I would apply. I want to make sure that I am 100% mature and prepared for the position. If I am annoying or spammy I will have to apply a week later than I planned. If I am truly going to help this server, I want to make sure I have the ability to maintain this position. I did not train myself a lot last time which lead to my demotion, but this time I am taking care and I am making sure that the incident that happened last time will not occur again. This server deserves active, mature, and self reliant helpers that will do their job!
As I hope you read from the paragraphs above I am a member who has the experience, maturity, activity, and assertiveness to become a great staff member again. I have learned a lot from my last time as helper, and I want to put that experience to work to help the people of this server. After all, they all deserve it. I may not be perfect, but due to my experience I believe I am a very strong candidate for the highly prestigious staff member position once again.

What are your weaknesses? Although I have many advantages when it comes to being staff, I also have some flaws. These flaws have been problems in my life/in game I have seen that sometimes make me struggle. I try my hardest to not let these affect me, but sometimes your weaknesses can hurt you. Sometimes it effects me, but not always.
Patience: this is probably my main problem. I find myself being impatient every day. When I get excited or anxious about something, I get impatient while waiting. An extreme case of this was when I was waiting for my interview last time. I would constantly ask if I could be interviewed. When I go on vacation I am constantly nagging when the airplane will arrive. When we are shopping I am anxious to get home to play Meep. I see this at school as well. I am aware of this. It first began to show at an early age. I have always been like this. I still have not seen improvement on this, although this doesn't mean I am not determined to change this. It is a problem that will not effect my job too much.
Teamspeak: Although I am active on all parts of the server, I don't talk in to a lot. I can't find myself talking to people when they are all talking to each other. When that happens it gets awkward. I will do my best to try, but it always seems to be there. When I am needed I will talk, but besides that I am just on the outside of the field. At times when I feel social I will be very active in ts, but that isn't everyday. If some of the people who I always talk to are online I will talk to the whole channel, but certain days when I am tired, or mad, or just nor in the mood I won't talk. This won't effect my job, but it is a problem I face.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: As you read from my application I am a mature, assertive, and experienced individual who wishes to contribute to this server more. I am online quite often and have devoted lots of my time to the server. Even though I used to be not assertive or immature, I have really grown upon this. I may be impatient, but I will always be there to help. My actions in the past don't represent my work ethic. I have changed, and I think that I could be a positive addition to the staff team. I have thought about my demotion a lot recently, and I believe I can be great at the position if I was given another chance. I have spent weeks writing and reviewing this application to make sure it was top quality, so I hope you consider this application.

As a helper you were annoying, unhelpful, and power hungry. You ignored people when they asked for help, and ignored people that didn't like you.

You are not ready, you will never be ready. The only reason people know you is because of the jokes about you getting accepted as staff the first time.

Just because you think you weren't immature or annoying for one week means you would apply?
It's been 2 months, at least, since you were demoted. If you find yourself this immature/annoying then you pretty much told us that you weren't ready.

 

Seen the changes in you since the demotion, I have, learned from it, you have. Hmmmmmm.

From what I heard, you were quite the staff member (not in a positive way, sorry )
But your app was good and you are a good person from what I've seen (of which not much.)

+/-. Right now I am at a undecided opinion due to the many positives and negatives that clash with one another. Personally, I think you wanted the power staff offered when you first applied and became helper and I worry that this may still be the case. I have seen improvement over the past week or so and I must say - I am impressed. However, I question whether your kindness is genuine or something you are using to deceive people. I must admit though, I appreciate the effort you have put into improving. Your application was also rather impressive. One last thing I think I really need to point out is that you are fairly bias from what I have seen. This obviously isn't at all a good thing.

Overall, my mind is undecided and a part of me refuses to believe that this could work out but another part of me insists that it is worth a try. I personally do not believe that you should have applied so soon and you should have waited longer to prove yourself but I suppose I can't change that.

You were just a bad helper, an idiot, not fit for the position in any way, power hungry, acted like a new player half the time, asked me the same questions over and over again that were easily found in the staff guides and some things that were ridiculous to have to ask for after 2 weeks of staffing.

Hey adloves, after reviewing your application and your abilities ingame I have decided to make the following vote.

Ingame:
You have the willingness to help other players in /g, but lack maturity at times. Id advise you to make better judgement in what you are saying before you are called out on it.

Forums:
Forums is a place to get to know everyone. It is also a place to show your maturity and your knowledge of the game and other categories in life. Your forum activity is exceptional.

TeamSpeak:
TeamSpeak is a hard category for me to give my input on, as I am never on it myself. I am not going to be saying much for anyone's teamspeak activity, but I hope that you can spend some time on it.

Application:
A player's application can make them or break them. In your application I noticed some grammatical/spelling errors, but nothing too serious. Your application was decently sized and very thorough. Also, you seemed to like to ramble on and on about how you were demoted and learned so much. Yes, it is wise to mention how you learned from your mistakes, but is is equally important that you don't talk about in every category of your application.

Conclusion:
After reviewing your application, forums, ingame and TeamSpeak activity, I have to decided to vote a -1. You have potential your second time around, but you were demoted the first time. You should improve your maturity, and try to build a better application

In your past experience as Helper, you were unkind, unhelpful, and power hungry. In the past few days, you have really improved your act and tried to be more helpful, but I hope that this is not a facade. I think if you keep this up over the next few weeks, and reapply at that time, I would be a +1.

Also, I can't stand when people state that they are donators in their application.
You were demoted, you weren't denied at the staff application. You were given a chance and you blew it. Now this being said, it will take multiple months to regain possibility to be accepted again. Demotions don't come often and easily unless you totally aren't fit for the position.

And, I thought you were 12 or younger than that...
