Chat improvements

Well, there are advertisers advertising a LOT on Meep. The player is banned, but you can still look up in chat, and see the server IP. There is a plugin called PwnFilter (available on bukkit.org) and the staff can do a simple command (/pfcls) and vawla! Chat is cleared. And gone. And in times where chat is going too fast, they can pause it. And then resume it when it slows down.
And the Meepcraft staff who have access to the config.yml can change the "rules" of the plugin. Rules mean when someone swears like (a specific word) the server(s) will do (this). But it is not bungeecord compatible, as I assume Meep runs on, thus you have to install it on every server. No biggie tho. Hope you like the idea

 

We don't use Bungeecord, and all of our chat plugins are custom.

 

Case ye didn't notice, it's an idea. You don't need to use that specific plugin.

 

Sorry I wasn't clear on my point. My point was, I'm more interested in actual ideas than plugin recommendations.

Either way, the censor is not bad and the chat already scrolls enough that a chat wipe is unnecessary.

 

I feel like there may be better ways to fix this problem, without completely clearing chat, which may annoy some people.

I think you're meaning the ones who advertise their pwarps.

 

This is actually a really good idea, however the conditions of the current chat are not ideal for this idea. Most censors are rather clumsy, and often send off false positives, and we have never really seen a point where we felt we need to slow chat down.
