Forum joke section

I think that the forums should have a joke section because it will inspire people to think of jokes that in turn possibly help cheer up people. In this section you can have threads made by moderators only for different types of jokes such as knock-knock jokes. It would help attract people to the forums. This section of the forums would take less than an hour or two to completely create a couple threads and a section. To help lessen spam, as I said before, it should only have 3 or 4 threads which instead of people making tons of threads they will only reply with a joke.

I haven't fully planned this out yet but I wanted to get the basics of it out there for people to start thinking about whether they like it or not. Please feel free to give me ideas in the reply section

+1, I've actually had this idea before, and it would help some of the more, umm, sensitive players and staff get an understanding that SOME. THINGS. ARE. A. JOKE.

 

That is a good point but sometimes people think things are a joke but they really are not, so this forum would need to be monitored too.

It might be unnecessary but, the idea i'm trying to get to might be good for the website

 

No, we don't need a section for everything.
Just put it in off-topic or discussion

A stickied topic would be good, an enitire section would not

 

I agree with some of the posts above, this is what we have Off-Topic for.

 

There is no need for this. It'll barely be used.
Make a jokes thread in the "Off-topic" section.

 

It's not that none of understand what jokes are, but usually has to revolve around what is being joked about.

This section is unnecessary. If you want to post a joke, then just put it at the top of the post, i.e...

****THIS IS A JOKE****

Otherwise, most of the time people should know that you are kidding. There is no need for a joke section on the forums.
