remove dicing

pros of dicing: You make easy money.

cons: Teaches children to gamble, makes people rage quit for losing money, Gets lots of people banned for scamming, kills profit that could be made by casinos.

Honestly the cons out way the pros, I vote for the removal of dicing.

Please, by the hands of Jesus and all things holy, do not remove dicing. I need to feed my gambling addiction some how, and I'm not draining any more money into a Runescape private server.

 

+1, This is a children's server. Dicing encourages gambling, an addiction with very negative consequences. Before you say "This game encourages killing" that's strictly false. Attacking in this game is over the top and not realistic whatsoever. However, dicing is very possible in real life.

 

Ok. So if a kid learns on a virtual game not to gamble then they won't do it in real life. Also who cares the people that are dicing know they could lose and that is at their own risk.

All three of these can also be truthfully said about casinos, of which you seem to be in support. (The third one is rare but it can still happen.)

Even though I am no longer an avid dicer, -1. This is a small minority ruining it for a larger minority.

its really that easy to just not bother to dice. I don't dice cause I don't feel like it.

 

Gambling is an addiction to some people. Its hard for them to "just stop". Like it's hard for a person who smokes cigarettes to "just stop".

There is way more to it than "you make easy money". It is fun for some people and they enjoy doing. And you dint always "makey easy money" because for every person that makes money there is another person who loses money. And that tbh, is why a lot of people do it. They like the adrenaline or whatever.

If your thinking along these lines should PvP be removed because it is teaching children to fight eachother?
People being banned fir scamming isnt a problem for anybody but themselves. Yes there are people who scam but that is why there are staff. People get banned for griefing and stealing, but does that mesn we should remove towny?
You say it kills profit made by casinos, yet that is more realistic gambling then dicing, so should casinos be removed for "Teaching kids to gamble"? You could also say irl terms, Get rid of Poker it is ruining the profit of Roulette. No it isnt, some people enjoy playing poker some enjoy playing roulette. Some people enjoy dicing, some people enjoy playing the casinos.
And for people who rage quit, thats just their problem not ours. It dosnt affect me in the slightest if somebody rage quits because they lost money, it is their fault.

And so, the cons do Not outweigh the pros, and there is no need for dicing to be removed.

Reasons why it needs to be removed:
1. People can get very angry when they loose their money.
2. Lots of people scam other players when they dice.
3. Since this is a PG server, dicing can encourage kids to gamble.
4. Sometimes I see people spamming /dice in chat.
5. If this gets accepted, you can still gamble your money at casinos.
6. Its a cheap way to earn money.

I legitimately have not seen a dice scam thread in a good month. Scammers are banned, victims are refunded. Not a real concern.

Sometimes I see people spamming skin comps in chat. Sometimes I see people spamming /pwarp ads in chat. Sometimes I see people spamming questions in chat. All three of these are perfectly legal, are they not?

CASINOS ARE SCAMS
You think people start casinos so that they can lose money to gamblers? Hell no. Casinos are designed to make profit for the hosts, not the players.

This is literally the most idiotic reason to remove dicing that I have ever seen. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but PEOPLE WANT MONEY. That's why they dice. Are you the kind of person that wants every moneymaking method to be removed? Because that's what you're coming off as right now.
