People who use TeamSpeak are often sometimes left with a dilemma.

When we need to converse in private, non of the channels are privately owned to be privately password protected.

When there is a spammer or a annoying individual, we cannot escape alas the player following us into the channels.

With our current system, we only have channels such as the Towns, Beta, Boomo, etc.

Usage of these channels for their in-game server involvement is extremely seldom, if ever seen happen.
Only usage of other channels is to escape to another channel to depart from another audience or group of meepers; which then brings back again to my point.

    We need hostable private channels.
I have brought this up during the first moments of the last town hall meeting, and as Cooleys stated; A considerable good idea, I have had yet to make a suggestion, and I am presenting it again on the forums.

These private channels can be rented, bought, or given as a perk of rank upgrade.
This could be as simple as a one-time payment of $5.
This will increase server revenue and also increase TeamSpeak activity and group event/activities.

Another way would be to incorporate a one free channel perk for Elite+, Supreme+, etc.

Public TeamSpeak rules will not apply in private channels. Anything said will be private, and to the channel owners and channel operator's discretion.

Channel Owners will have power to kick players from the channel only, along with the power to assign operators to help moderate and kick; but not the full powers of being a Owner.

Channel descriptions can be edited by Channel Owners, full customizable, and must be appropriate to some degree.

Recording allowed as the channel rules don't prohibit and anything said in the rules would be the ultimatum for all actions and expectations for all who participate and chat in the channel.

This will give freedom, sense of privacy, and allow for more usage of the TeamSpeak channel, while also creating a wile new way to generate revenue/rank donation popularity.

Thank you for reading this suggestions. I hope I can get some positive feedback.

-1 part of Teamspeak is to have the channels that are only there plus the extra ones like Diana's embassy. If you want to chat privately, use Skype. This is a waste of time to program if you have skype. -1

Skype is very frisky and has less usage, with less the potential of TeamSpeak channels.

TeamSpeak is far more universal, doesn't require any adding friends or contacts. You can simply go right in.

This is a simple addition that is quite possible, and quite frankly doesn't take much work.
    Nothing has to be programmed.

Just a simple channel ranks permission fixes and any SuperMod or Mod+ accepting a channel request on the forums. Quite simple. Nothing to program or code.

I fully support hostable private channels.

So what you are saying is that Teamspeak is the lazy man's way out of Skype?

Skype has far less sound quality than TeamSpeak.

    TeamSpeak supports Opus Voice.

Skype is simply of -44K hz refresh rate audio.

Skype is perfect for private chats. Again, Teamspeak is for a GROUP. The time to program is a waste of time, and Skype works fine.

    There is nothing to code.

Did you not read my post throughly or do not understand the process of making private channels?

Private Groups can converse without hassle through private channels.

Skype is simple too bulky, not meant for usage during gameplay, while the simplicity and benefits of TeamSpeak is specifically designed for gameplay.

    +0.5

+ TeamSpeak is much less resource-intensive than Skype, which is important for people like me who have crap computers.
+ My friends and I won't have annoying players chasing us around the channels, but we can still be on the Meep TS for our friends to log in and see our presence and join us.
    - Allow channel mod perms to the channel owner, but the ability to assign additional people mod powers seems redundant.
    - Continue to disallow recording without express permission of channel users.

I'm fairly skeptical on opening a bunch of rooms that can't be moderated. I personally don't have an issue with most topics of conversation, but I'm not sure if we want to host what would potentially happen.

Would it not be the owner of the channel's responsibility to make the rules?

Yeah, I wasn't talking about what rules are in place. I am more concerned with having X un-moderated channels, talking about or sharing whatever content on the server itself. I have to assume there is content that we simply don't want shared using the server at all, and I suspect some of that content will be shared anyway.

On the idea itself, -1, the transaction would be manual, and then ranking them by their rank in TS requires making the ranks, and handing them all out to hundreds of people.

Universal rules such as harassment and hack threats would be still apply to the private channels but most made to the owners.

It would be manual yes, but it does not take much time or work. Simply wait until a Mod+ could make one for you.

This has potential to cause chaos. Many unmoderated rooms can be more unruly than one spammer in a room. Also, some people may create a room for the wrong reasons. That could hurt others more than just privately making a skype call.

    Elaborate.

Wrong reasons? If a person doesn't want you in their group, they can kick you.

Channel Owners and Channel Operators can kick.

Owners can change passwords, operators cannot.

They are moderated by the channel owners and operators.

Just to clarify, you realise that this would mean needing an admin to repex the TS account of everyone who buys this, and it would be a lot of work. Again, use Skype. -1

So what you're saying is that you're critical and can't think outside the box.

+1 as many people do not have Skype and it can only host so many people in a call.
