Moderator Application: Castroifyer

Look Castro, I guess you have only just got Helper, sure you have done a lot of modreqs and bans however being a Helper is much more than that. It's about learning how to deal with many different situations and players. Something I don't believe you can achieve in just 9 days. I also think that in many ways, Helpers interact with players more than mods do. Helpers are definitely the link between the players and the staff. Spend some time as a Helper, experience things and enjoy the yellow chat.

 

I am personally surprised to see an application so soon, however, I am also glad. Having you as a helper has certainly been wonderful! You have achieved so much as helper so far and you should have the opportunity to achieve so much more - by becoming mod. The staff team could use someone like you in a higher position. Though Meep has changed drastically since the last time you were staff, you are an extremely quick learner and immensely determined which is exactly what we need, I am going to give you a +1, possibly the easiest +1 I have ever given someone applying for mod.

Firstly, I am surprised you got Helper, and you already want Mod? I barely know you.

You know what a helper should do because twice now you've been an exceptional helper.

You know what a moderator should do because you have previously been an exceptional helper.

You know what a good supermod is because you made a superb, intelligent, and capable supermod.

 

These are all invalid reasons. So what if he just came back and got helper, he is the only helper who actually helps me. And can get 450 modreqs done in 9 days. And with the time I spent with him at least, he has shown a very high amount of determination to effectively answer my modreq. Saying, "You just got helper" isn't a valid reason, explain how he can improve or explain what he doesn't know, so he can't improve on his next app if you just put, "You just got helper"

 

Hi Castro!
I admire your perseverance and I can see that you are one hell of a Staff member.
But even if you have 400+ modreqs, that isn't a deal-breaker.
I do see you on quite a lot and can see that you are qualified for the position, but will this dedication be the same if you are allowed the Moderator position?
I think a little more time as a Helper would do you a great favor. Show us what you've got!

I didn't even know you got helper, but from what boo said, you deserve mod.

 

Actually when I was staff, he still needed to know a few things. Even if he is good at his job doesnt mean that he can be a mod. He needs time.

 

Quality over quantity.

My reasoning is that if someone is good at their job, keep them there. He is way too new to become mod. he is good at his job, but not ready. still -1

 

That makes no sense what so ever. If they are good at their job, it would make more sense to put them at a higher position to do their job where it would be worth something more.
Again, still no valid reason why he should stay at helper, all you said was, "he does a great job, but shouldn't be promoted, because he wasn't helper long enough" That isn't crisizism for how he can improve.

 

+1 When I come on, whenever it is, I usually see you on doing modreqs. You seem to have the ability to become mod due to previous experience and I hope you get it.

For a mod application it was quite short but I believe that you are a great helper and you have the potential to be a mod but I think you need some more time to prove yourself to the community and gain some more trust as you haven't been for long at all yes you have all the work to back yourself up but like most people would say its about the quality not the quality but I can't judge that as I don't know about the quality of your work and I would rely on other peoples posts in this thread to prove me wrong but i believe that your time as helper is not long enough for you to be trusted. Anyway good luck and I wish you all the best and also i don't believe that your teamspeak activity is great but that may be just due to my timezone
