Introduction

Hello I'm Alex. I am 13 years old and live in Colorado. In my free time I enjoy playing Minecraft, writing, and and listening to music. I started to play Minecraft about 3 years ago, and the past 2 of those years have mainly been prioritized to Meepcraft. I enjoy to build in creative single player worlds. I am currently working on a model of New York. I love to write poetry and short story's. Right now I am writing a book of many poems I have written. It is nice to see how much I have learned over time. I have written many short story's as well. I love to do this all the time. For school, for pleasure, for all! School is very important in my life. I believe education is one of the most valuable things in a persons life. That is why I take it seriously. I have always received straight A's.

I started to play Meepcraft 2 years ago. I always played parkour until I discovered towns. I discovered a whole new world in Meepcraft. The towns server is one of the things that makes this community special. The towns bring us all closer together. This server is special because of the community. This server is different from others because people talk to each other about things other than Minecraft. I will go online and see people talking about their day, their favorite things, and things that happen in their life. That is something so unique to Meepcraft that I hope never goes away. Staff comes and goes in this community, but I appreciate how much time we all dedicate to the server.

Why you should be mod

After being helper for a month I have noticed that I am ready for a bigger challenge. I have answered many modreqs. I have noticed how much I enjoy helping the server, but I want to do more for it. More than what I can accomplish now. There is a great responsibility that comes with being staff that I believe I have enough of to be mod. When someone needs help I am on it. I hope you read these next paragraphs because they are important to see why I am fit to be mod.

After this short month as helper I have been able to gather so much knowledge of how the server works. I know all of the helper commands and use them quite often. This has made me realize that I would be able to add more to the server as mod. Just because I am a new helper does not mean I am not experienced. Sure I am new to the staff team, but not to meepcraft. 2 years of it. I also have tons of experience with bukkit servers. I am skilled with breaking up disputes. I mentioned in my last app that I am experienced in conflict mediation. I have taken a class on this since 4th grade. That is not anything new to me. The really hard part of being staff that is that it can be difficult banning people. It's hard having to ban certain people such as veteran players, friends, and the people who you care about on the server. I have moved on from the bad feelings as I realized that if you break a law, you must be punished.

Another thing that could help me as staff is my maturity. My age does not effect my maturity. I consider myself to be a very mature person. I am not the most mature person of course, but I am definitely more mature than most people my age. Maturity is an advantage I have. Being mod requires a lot of maturity, which I believe I have. I have actually surprised myself recently with my maturity. Coming into the position I expected to be a silly staff member, but I am very serious and take my job seriously. This server needs serious, assertive, staff members. I am the man for mod if this is what you are looking for.

I have answered 200 modreqs in the past month. And in those 200 modreqs they were all answered with precision and thoroughness an they all ended with an "Anything else I can help you with?". I prefer quality however. I will never complete a modreq unless I am 100% sure it is completed with care. What I am trying to say is that I have good player to player communication. This would help me tremendously as I plan on being active with the community as a leader. And although I would not lead as a mod, I plan to go as far as I can to improve the server to make it a comfortable place for everyone. I consider myself extremely active. I am online at least 2 hours a day. That is after I finish homework. I know all of the commands necessary and I am completely ready. Although I am new, I am ready and fit for the position!

I am very responsible. This is one main priority when hiring a new mod. I can be trusted with any permissions given to me. I can also be trusted with staff information. This means that I am not at risk of speaking with anyone to tell them staff secrets. I have been accepted as helper, and this has really changed my whole experience in Minecraft. I love to be staff. The feeling that these people can trust me is something that makes me feel great. They are right to trust me though. Over my last month as helper I have not released one piece of staff information. I love this job way too much to have it taken away. I can assure everyone that you will not here anything you aren't supposed to from me. EVER.

I know that we have had a lot of demotions and resignations recently. Our staff team is going to increase a lot after the holidays. These people will mostly be helpers, and if I become mod I can help these people all become great staff members. I am a very quick learner, so if I get accepted within a week I would be all caught up on mod commands. That is something that helped me as helper. I want to make this team work a little more fluently and help this server. I know all the commands and punishments to teach the new staff members. I can tell them how to react to certain things and how to adjust to the new life style. I am great with the community and I think that I can help the staff team increase with quality over time.

Another thing that I know will help me is the bans I have done. I have completed almost every ban, from spam to theft to ads. I have done a lot of it. I am not saying I am power hungry, but what I am saying is I am experienced with all of the bans. This also shows that I am strict when it comes to people doing things. I will never let you off the hook. I always follow the rules for banning someone. If you grief, I will devote my time to catching you. We can't have people on this server thinking it is ok to break the rules. If you break the rule you will be caught. If you kill someone in real life, you will be caught be the law. That is staffs job. To keep this server a functioning society of players. I show this very well in my job. I hope you know that I am so dedicated to keep this server running that I will not quit until my job is finished.

I am so dedicated to the server. My first week as staff was first about me, but after that I now completely understand that staff isn't about you, it is about the players. I am always online and ready to work. I can increase the proficiency of the whole staff team as a higher rank. When people need help I always come with 100% dedication to helping that person. If a helper needs help doing their job I would be there with 100% dedication. I do this because I care too much about this server to see it fall. I wouldn't let that happen. I am here until I see that either I am not helping, I am worried IRL, or I get demoted. None of those things seem like they will happen anytime soon. I am here for a long time Meepcraft!

After reading these reasons, I hope you understand how diligent, how devoted, and how trustworthy I am. I believe I can help the staff team so much more if I had mod. You may think that this is early, but I am now completely fluent in punishments, prism, and the rules as staff. Because our staff team is increasing, we are going to need people to train all of the new members of the staff team. I am a great leader, and my qualities can help all of the staff members. Some of my talents are being wasted as helper. All of these qualities can increase proficiency by a large scale amount. I think that I am ready for the challenge and am ready for the new task!

Weaknesses

Talking in Teamspeak: I am kind of anti-social in Teamspeak. Of course I do my best to go mingle with people, but sometimes I don't like to talk. I enjoy talking to staff because I really connect with most of them. Whenever I talk to other people, I always have an enjoyable conversation. Even if I am not similar to this person, we can have talks. I just don't do that often. I am always on Teamspeak when I am online, but I just don't talk to a lot of people. If people talk to me I will respond with pleasure. This just means that I mainly talk in Teamspeak to prevent more typing.

Impulsive: occasionally I will do random things on impulse. This is mainly in real life. I can occasionally see myself doing that in game. I haven't seen this in game yet. Although I am sure it will happen once, I don't see it effecting my job in a major way. I have never seen this effect my work in Meepcraft, but someday it may happen.

/g: I also don't talk in /shout often. I don't like to type a whole lot (accept when answering modreqs, that all goes away). Over the past month I noticed that I am pretty quiet, however this will NOT affect my job majorly as I still contribute ideas and try my best to improve the server in the ways that I can as helper. If anyone will /msg me about a problem I respond very quickly if I am not answering a modreq. So /g is something that is fun, but I don't use it a whole lot. I prefer /msg or Teamspeak. /g is more public. I enjoy things more private. I am not a loud person. I am quiet and do things in /msg more. I do not think this will effect my job that much.

Impatient: I noticed that while waiting for my interview for helper I was being impatient. I sometimes get impatient when I am excited, nervous, or anxious. I have seen this in me a few times (specifically while waiting), but this has not effected my job quite much. I am sometime impatient when I am waiting for someone to respond to me. This is sometimes seen when I answer a modreq. I get mad at home, but not in game. I have learned to control this side of me, and it never shows. I would consider this to be the main weakness of me.

Conclusion

As you read from my application I am a devoted helper who wishes to contribute more to the server. I have wonderful leadership qualities when it comes to staff, am very experienced (2 years of Meepcraft), diligent, and I am pretty straight forward. I am very trustworthy and mature which in my opinion are the 2 most important traits a mod requires. Almost all of the people who were helper with me have either been demoted, resigned, or promoted. I think I am ready to become a mod. I know I am new helper, but my knowledge isn't. I may not be the most popular member of the staff team, but I very efficient. Although can be quiet, I still have the qualities to be a higher rank. I am quiet, but I will respond to anyone in need of assistance. Isn't that the whole point of staff? To help? So if you want to increase staff productivity, I am there. If you want a devoted mod, I am there. I have noticed how unchallenged I am and how I feel that I can increase my productivity by a large amount if I become mod. And as I wrap up here, I want you to consider this application as I can change Meepcraft for the better.

Your actions don't seem affirmative enough yet for that position, as you often try to hard to be the "nice guy" and just warning, and not making legitimate kicks. You also seem to worried to impress the admins, by claiming many /modeqs and doing a half- assets job on them, hoping the admins ignore that. Honestly, you don't seem qualified for helper, much less mod.
