Application for Staff

Well a lot of the reason I left was because stress levels were getting high and I didn't feel quite like I belonged after my demotion. I never stopped wanting to be staff, I just felt like I needed a break, after all doesn't everyone need one?

 

That is perfectly good reasoning. For those of you who haven't had the experience of being staff, it's not easy. And I was but a mere helper, so I barely did stuff.

Hello, bass. I'm going to start off by saying I don't personally know you and haven't yet talked to you in teamspeak or ingame, nor have I really seen you around but just judging from your app, being a new(er) member and having no idea who you are, I mean, the application isn't very impressive. I don't mean to be the kill-joy here, but most of your application is filled with an explanation of why you were demoted. If you take out all that and look at the rest, the application is very short and doesn't give the readers a great description of who you are, and -why- you should be staff.

As shown above, there's not much left in the application after all that is removed. I'm not saying you shouldn't be staff only because your application wasn't the best - as I know many people who would be excellent staff members but would make a terrible application (*cough cough*). Anyways, I wasn't even a member back when you were previously staff so since I don't feel I know you enough to make a decision yet after pointing out the above, I remain neutral until further notice. It's good to reflect off your previous experience as a staff member here, but think of this as a clean slate - a second chance, that is, if you do get accepted. -If you lack confidence how do we know you'll be confident enough to handle modreq? Or take on some challenge like a big towny theft case or something or a question from a player

When I was staff during the time you were, the only thing I remember about you is "average". You did not stand out to me and your work was around par. This isn't necessarily a bad thing though, and I think you'd do fine as staff.

nope, after I helped recreate meep, I resigned and didn't log on for a year and a few months.

I am interested in what this duping story is.

 

Right well Perryjay, stevecrazy and Niel, plus others I think, found that if you /t unclaim a plot the landscape would regenerate... Including any spawners or ores that had been there. You can guess what happened next. But the problem was, they had asked two staff if it was legal, MrsMegan and bass, then supermod and mod respectively, who said it was ok. Both were demoted down a rank and resigned altogether soon after. Long story short, about 20-22 million meebles were poured into the economy, as that was when we had meepshop, and we lost two of our best, in my opinion, staff. Plus several players were banned and /t unclaim was hurriedly fixed.
