Introduction:


Good day! I'm GummiBirr, you can call me Gummi or GummiBirr. I've been playing Meep for 9 months now, I've been a very good player! . When I first joined MeepCraft, I saw the spawn, I was walking around and reading rules, when I suddenly I saw a command that popped-up on my screen, It said "Hey! Want to talk in global chat? Do /shout" After that I did /shout and I said "Hey guys! I'm new to the server, Can I join a town?" Then after like 5 seconds, Emmettz24 messaged me; a former staff member, "You can join my town " He said. So he /tpaed me to him so I immediately accepted the teleport request. He gave me 1 plot first, so I begged him to give me 2 plots so i could start my farm and my little house, Then he gave me 2 plots and I was very happy. Days have passed, I have been thinking of staying on the server, I said this server is unique and awesome, Cool people and awesome community. This is the only server I know that has an economy, so I decided to stay and it was a very good home.

Howdy everybody! I'm Sean. 13 years of age. I'm from the country of Philippines and I'm very proud to be here. I'm half chinese-filipino. Outside of my Meep life, I'm a composer, I dance, I sing and I'm a good editor. I'm not a sporty person but I play some sports like, Football and basketball I am the indoor type of person. I like playing computer games but sometimes if I'm bored, I go out and play with some young people between the ages of 7 to 15. I also love and hate things in my life, The things which I love to do are, playing computer games, Watching TV, Reading books and making fiction stories. Some example of the things I hate are, Getting insulted, Getting betrayed, Underestimated and not being honest to me. My favorite food is Dinuguan it’s a filipino food made of Pork meat.


I started using the computer and began playing games when I was 4 years of age and I am still playing, I have been told on several occasions by many people that I am a very fast typer. I also PvP a lot on the server. Apparently I am reasonably better than before.



Why you should be Helper/Mod ?

I believe in myself that I'm a decent person. As I strongly believe, I have the capabilities of becoming a staff member. Me as a veteran player, I know the rules, as a teenager I know the right and the wrong. I have listed some of my qualities below.

• Experience

As I have relations to some staff members on the server, I am pretty farmiliar with what experience is required. As a helper you really need a lot of patience and experience regarding the server. I know I have those qualities and I'm up for it. As a mayor at Alpha and a mayor at Beta, I know the mayor commands but not all of them. I know I am still lacking knowledge of server commands but I am prepared to learn whatever I can at any given time.

• Work Ethic

I am a very hardworking person when it comes to getting a job done. I accept the resbonsibility of doing a job given to me and approach the task in a serious matter. when there is a job that needs to be done, I ignore whatever is on my mind and set it aside to focus on the given job. If someone gives me a job, I try all my best to be responsible and finish the job as best as I possibly can to get a very satisfying and a rewarding result.

• Dedication

I'm a very active player on MeepCraft. I am very active on all three aspects of the server, The teamspeak, forums and in game. When there is something desperately needed, I always try my best to get online and I'm willing to give my time to it. Also; As most of you were stating that I apply a lot, it is only because I am dedicated to the server and I am willing to prove to everyone that I am willing to assist and I have what it takes to become a staff member.

• Involvement

As I have said above on my dedication. I'm a very active player, and I have dedicated a large amount of time into the server. When I have the time to play, I spend most of my time in game. Whenever I'm online in game, I'm also online at skype, forums and at teamspeak. I also talk on teamspeak because I want to be engaged with all aspects of the community.

• Knowledge about the server rules

As a veteran player of MeepCraft, I know the server rules and I know the right and wrong, Abby told me that I was lacking knowledge on the server rules but now I have taken her opinion into consideration and took the time to learn the rules I wasnt familiar with, I have read the rules many times before and I understand it very much. I have learnt more about the server rules because I know that would help me to become a better staff member.

• Helpfulness

I’m a very helpful player, In real life and in game, I’m helping players. As some of you may say that I don’t help much of to the community, I really do help but because of my Timezone, Sometimes there’s only a countable players online. But I always try my best to help out players on the server.

• Justification

I believe I'm capable and ready to be a staff member because I'm pretty familiar with the community and how things are being run. I'm always prepared to dedicate all my time and skills to the community. I am also ready to learn more things about the server. I've been playing on the server for 9 months and I know the basic commands too. I am a fast learner and I want to learn more about the server and more about what the server offers.


Weaknesses:

• Teamspeak

I understand that Teamspeak is a major aspect of the server, But because of my timezone whenever I get online, there are not many players on the server. But whenever it's weekends I try my best to get online early on my country which is the best time to talk with others on several occasions.

• Grammar

Sometimes, whenever I talk in global chat, forums or at teamspeak, My grammar is not correct and I know that. So some people corrects my wordings and I accept that, I learned many words because of the server and I'm trying all my best in communicating with the community.

• Lack of Commands/Knowledge

I don't have much knowledge on the helper commands, But I'm willing enough to give my time to learn them and use them in the right way.

• Temper

Sometimes, when people think of themselves as a god or a very smart person and start harassing players, I sometimes think they should get a lesson, So I tend to stand up to them and get a bit rude, however, I am willing to change my attitude and become more calm and relaxed by talking to myself and approach the situation in a more relaxed manner.


Conclusion:

I'm keeping this short and sweet. In conclusion, I know what it takes to be a staff member and and I strongly believe that I have what it takes to be a staff member. I'm willing to give all my time and abilities to the community. MeepCraft is a growing server and I want to explore more on it and be part of Its journey. I hope I have explained myself better to many of you. I hope everyone now has a better knowledge of who I am and what my capabilities are.

I saw all the replies I needed, and my predictions are correct: you haven't changed a bit (maybe even more rude)

I haven't seen anything in game from you, as i rarely log onto Minecraft these days, but I assumed you haven't changed much (winner winner chicken dinner). Your forums conduct is far from what my standards of staff are (irony?). You have called people racist, when hey weren't racist. If that isn't a sign of immaturity, I don't know what is. Like others have said, you haven't helped people really. The only posts I see you making anymore are "Meepmall!" and "Helper Application". I want to see improvement from you, and you to hold that improvement for a long period of time before I even give you a +/-.
I see a lot of activity from you, and you are serious and caring about things, too bad it's the wrong things.

Well, again huh?

You have improved your maturity, and activity is ok, I see you online time to time. But there is one problem: applying many times makes you look like you are bit desperate for Staff. Your application was good, except it has alot of spaces, but it doesnt matter so much, seems you used time to this app.
Im on +/-, you are good friend, but I dont see that you are Staff fit yet, maybe after few weeks at next year.

Yeah i know they are not illegal. But a good staff would not use those all the time.

You are SO VERY rude. I have been watching you closely because I knew you would apply again, but I have seen nothing but rudeness from you. You are still very annoying and immature.

Also the only times you aren't being rude is when you are blasting your advertisements for Meepmall all over the place. We get it, we heard it over 9000 times. We don't need to hear it 30 times a minute.

Instead counting the exact days and hours you have to apply until next time. How about you wait a year until your attitude and maturity changes.

Look I know you want to join the staff team and you want to give something back to the community... However you make childish mistakes which make people lose faith in your ability to be staff.

Personally, I have seen some improvements within you. However, as other people have said, I believe you need to wait a little longer and show that you didn't just improve yourself for a few days but rather permanently.

So for now it's a -1 from me but stay improved and that will change

Well, you appealed to my grammar nazi side for having decent grammar, and the app was ok, but you overused the word help a bit too much. We know you like to help, thats why you're applying. I just started not long ago on meep, so I dont have any experience with you. Right now I'm undecided, because I dont know you personally. You do have potential so dont give up.

That is debatable, you have reported people for petty things and have been rude to people in shout.

As staff, you would probably get insulted quite often, if you can't deal with that...As for underestimation, people underestimate you because they have not seen any proof of anything you can do. Try acting better not just in game, but in real life as well. If you don't, it is more likely that you will slip up in game and create the situation that you have now.

You believe that you are a decent person. He who has a full cup cannot receive any more tea, or in you case, He who believes that there is no room for improvement will not use advice that other people give him. I am not saying that you do not listen to what people have to say or that you are not a great guy. I'm just saying, be careful with absolutes. I believe that you do have the capability of becoming staff, If you listen to what the constructive people are telling you and apply it to yourself. 9 months does not a veteran player make. Not all teenagers have the same definition of right and wrong eg, Russianpedobear probably has a differing opinion on what is right and wrong than you have, he is a teenager as well. His opinion got him banned, correct?

This is pretty decent, but again "I know I have those qualities" Be careful of absolutes.

"I ignore whatever is on my mind and set it aside to focus on the given job." This section is alright but be careful of what you ignore, it can lead to problems.

As for the re-applying, some people think that you want helper for the title, the attention and the dominion over other players. They will keep thinking that until you change how you act.

My conclusion.

Overall you actually had a decent app, I have seen much much worse.
Several people that have posted on this application can be likened to sheep,why?

Because they follow the popular opinion.
Take Deineno as an example, people respect him and think that practically everything he says must be correct, when, in reality, he is still just stating his opinion. He is a ram that leads the sheep, he isn't the only one though. There are several people on Meep like that.
Because you have applied so many times, people have become biased about you. The "popular opinion" that Gummi can't be a staff member has spread to the point where their reasons for you not becoming staff is simply " He's Gummi, He can't be staff". I mean really? How many people actually read your application?
How many of them are just being sheep and following other peoples opinions as if they are fact?

I'm not trying to dissent on Deinen0 at all, he is actually pretty good about being unbiased on most occasions. He does have valid points. I however, have a differing opinion than him.

After all is said and done. Work on your weaknesses. listen to what people have to say. I give a +1 to this application.
