Unfortunately, you're going to have to talk about it if you want to be staff, whether it's here or in an interview. I was surprised and disappointed to see that you didn't include it in your application...

You were banned for duping. Yes, it was duping, and as a former staff member you should have known that, regardless of the misunderstanding that later occurred. That fact is not going to go away just because you want it to. There are other staff members (as well as people who are accepted for interview) who have made mistakes in their past and have less-than-clean ban histories. But they have confronted those mistakes and those histories head-on, showing that they understand what they did wrong (even if there were circumstances that made it not entirely their fault, they understood that they WERE at least partially at fault), and showing that they have learned from it and taken the opportunity to grow.

Without seeing you do that... I'm afraid I could not trust you as a staff member and could not support this application. I do think you have some great qualities that would serve you well as a Helper, like friendliness, helpfulness, and dedication to the server. So I really hope you change your mind and decide to address this issue, however uncomfortable and long of a story it might be.

 

I know and i would be perfectly fine to talk about it, but i spammed up the forums enough with all of the talk about it. I do confirm that i made a MASSIVE mistake, and yes i do know what i did wrong. I came back after my ban and just got on with the game. If you want me to tell everyone what i did (if they don't already know) i will happily tell them. But i wanted this app to be about who I am and how i have changed. All the details into my ban came inside my ban appeal, but as i said, i'll tell everyone if u wish.

Thank you for this response! I understand that staff is partially responsible for this, too. What I was looking for was for you to acknowledge your ban and to take responsibility for YOUR part in it... which it looked like you were avoiding... but you've done that now. How much detail you want to give here is up to you.

I'm still not on board yet with a full +1, but I can support an interview. Good luck!

+/- Because you are really active and you are a pretty cool guy but sometimes like 4/10 you can be a bit too jokey you mess around just a bit too much so I say +/- but I think I would change my vote soon.

 

Perryjay, I think you're a fine lad who defiantly has many qualities of a staff member, such as brains, dedication, a desire to help, and alright activity. I could see you in an interview, so +.5 !

Perry! You are a great person, constantly active, friendly, and such a positive force whenever you're online! During the quiet hours when I'm online, I see you pretty often and I have to say that you possess the qualities of a staff member. However, you may have to work a bit on your immaturity, but it is not a big issue and I'm sure that you will adjust if you were accepted into the staff team. I am willing to overlook you past because we all trip at some point, and I think that you have changed ever since that incident. I wish you the best of luck!
