Hello All! Firstly, I would like to thank anybody who takes the time to read this, and I would especially like to thank those who provide constructive criticism in the feedback; I'll really appreciate it! Let's begin. ( I apologize for the length of the Intro)

Who Am I?
My name (irl) is Devin. I'm 20 years old, and am a full time University Student. I currently reside in the beautiful state of Colorado (USA), along with one of my high-school buddies. While in University I have studied 3 different majors; 1st) Engineering (I quit because that was tough) 2nd) Architecture, my true passion, and a main reason for me even playing MC. 3rd) Finance, I am currently a finance student in my Business School and will be graduating in 6 quarters/1.5 years. I absolutely love Architecture! I've created many wooden/clay/board models as well as designed dozens of building on paper. However Architecture is a poor job market so I had to make a switch to Finance. Anyway;

This is why I First loved minecraft, we could build anything we wanted! I played for a month on my PS3 building so many new things (I was so bad at it too). Eventually I got bored, stopped for a while and decided to join a server. Boom. Meepcraft. It was my first server and everything was so fast paced I didn't think I could keep up. On day 2 I would've quit, had it not been for Cooleysworld, who had found me mining at bedrock for diamonds when he gave me a complete god set. Ever since then I decided I want to be that guy; the one helping players simply so they can enjoy Meep more. That's my Second reason for loving Meep, the community. We all know this community is like no other server; some of us are so lucky to stumble upon it (like myself). If the player size and overall player base is to grow Meep needs dedicated staff there to help sustain that growth.

Why Should I Be A Helper?

Good Question! I'm glad you asked, lol. Honestly, I've thought about this a lot. I've come to realize more of the standards and requirements that staff have. It has turned me away from applying/attempting for a while. I've always thought I would just play the game, doing /modreq's never seemed liked it'd fun and forum activity had never been essential to enjoying Meep, so I never thought I would apply for staff. Recently, however, I've felt like I have a duty to help Meep. I believe I have qualities (which I'll list below) which will be of a benefit to the Meep community overall.

• Professionalism - I try to be professional in all things I do. This relates mostly to /modreq's. I will do my best to ensure I properly and thoroughly answer my /modreq's. I will gather and present sufficient proof of any infractions; As Staff I believe I/we represent Meep, and I have no doubt that I can make that representation as a Courteous/Helpful/Professional community.

• • Respect/Friendliness - Linked to above. I treat all players with respect at all times. I have never been mean to a player regardless of the situation, in fact I always try to combat aggressiveness with kindness haha, kinda' funny. Players have commented on my friendliness in game, and many of the new players in my town rely on me for support/guidance. I always do my best to make the game experience as enjoyable for others as possible.
  • Patience - This is a strong quality I do not often see. I am very patient. I have no problems working with those players who 'refuse to read' or similar. I believe this is another skill useful for many of the /modreq's that Staff have to answer daily.

• Adaptability - I've only played meep/minecraft for a few months. However in this time I have learned so much. I am quick to learning and understanding new concepts, although I may need guidance at times. I'm certain I can learn any Helper/HawkEye commands quickly and thoroughly; As well as anything else that may be needed to perform my duties. I have no problems asking for help or guidance in the areas that I am weak in so I may become better at them.
  • As a new staff member I would need to learn all the commands and the various penalties for infractions. I believe I am capable of quickly adapting this knowledge and executing it correctly/professionally. Learning is necessary to grow and I am ready to learn what is needed to become an excellent Helper

What Are My Weaknesses?

This is another reason I have been withholding an application. I fear I have too many weaknesses, perhaps I see more of what I can 'work on' than my skills. But here it goes haha.

• Forum Activity - This is obvious. I have 12 likes and 3 trophy points -_- (Technically I'm a New Member still). I understand that I have almost no forum activity, and that this needs to be changed. I have been reading forums a lot more often in the past few days, and I know that I can work communicating to players through the forums. I promise to increase my forum activity as of now, and to sustain that activity whether or not I get accepted I have Meep linked to my emails so I can have quick responses to important matters or messages. And responding to those should be no inherit problem regardless of where I am at the moment.

• TeamSpeak - I am not currently super active in TeamSpeak. I have been on regularly for a while (a few weeks ago) However my younger brother was visiting me for a month so I decided 'chit-chat' with my lil' bro was a good trade-off for TS activity throughout that month. I will also become more active on TS to communicate with other players and to gain better tips and insights from Staff that are helping me out. I have no problem communicating new ideas to other members during their discussions and such, I always have been a team player and have no hesitation making myself heard when need be

• Staff Commands/ Minecraft commands - I currently have no knowledge of any Staff commands or any knowledge of other commands /bukkit. I simply don't know these, I don't know where to look for the answers on /bukkit* or where to test out these commands. I have no programming knowledge whatsoever. I don't think I will need much knowledge to perform /HawkEye and other related Staff commands but I'm making it known that I don't currently have that knowledge gained

Final Thoughts
I understand that I didn't put much in game weaknesses; such as bad things I have done/ been tempted to do. But I honestly don't feel like I have a weakness in game currently. I also understand that my Strengths are personal and arbitrary. In fact, I agree that on paper I currently don't seem like a great choice. I wouldn't be surprised if I only got some +1's from those who really know me. I am asking for a chance though, I am competent, and confident that nobody will be disappointed with me as a Staff member. My activity on forums and Ts are low, but those can easily be changed, my inherit qualities that make me a fit person to represent/help the Meep community are never going to change. If this is denied I am confident I will be back in 1 - 2 months with a much better application for you guys, or hopefully (if accepted) I can be applying for mod

The app was fantastic, you're very capable and have the maturity. My only concern is your forum activity (as mentioned). We used to have a minimum amount of likes/posts before you could post an application, but seeing as that rule is gone, it doesn't matter. Just try working on improving your forum activity.

Absolutely a +1. You're mature, intelligent, and stable. I think these traits will be a great asset to the staff, and server. I like how your application dealt with the customer service aspect of this, aka professionalism.

 

Come over to Britain, architecture is really big over here. There are many jobs involving architecture which people are missing out on.

Anyway, I think you're a great guy, always kind, helpful and mature.

Architecture is a huge job market right now. With the human population growing ever so much, Architects are in demand. especially on MeepCraft.​
