How I Make My Signatures

Could you help me on this one? I don't know if it is still possible to make it bigger or what not...

My temporary solution for this is to make the text bigger. And i still have like 10 imgur pics to delete as those were my failed attempts. I'm not a very good .

I made a video of what I would have done with your sig. I'll point out a few things in it that I did, that differ greatly from yours.

• First thing is, you forgot to look for a transparent picture. The site you use for your avatar has a transparent background choice, so you don't need to go through all the tediousness of erasing (and even though you did, you missed a huge amount of spots. It doesn't look that bad with this one, because it's smoke, but some it's really noticeable, and not something you want).
• Secondly, you see how small I cropped it, right? For something like this, try to just barely encompass the entire bit of smoke; generally they are long and short, just like we want. However, a general rule of thumb for any picture is to make it as wide as possible, and as short as possible, while still having everything you want inside. A lot of images have very unnecessary backgrounds, its honestly a little ridiculous.
• At around 0:10 you'll notice that I put your avatar on the other side. This is because you don't want one side to be too busy; the left side had a lot less smoke than the right, so I opted to switch the sides.
• When I start putting on text around 1:06, you'll notice that rather than using the garish colors you did, I chose black. You want to choose colors that blend well with the background; text looks childish when it stands out so much. I was going to do a dark red, actually, but I thought black was better. I also always make one of the two text boxes less faded than the other; it gives a nice affect.

Anything else you notice me doing that was different than something you did?

I understood this COMPLETELY! You go and abuse your mod perms and awesome karma to ask the gods of the internet and awesomeness to give you a magical wand that you then wave over your computer screen and the signature is instantly made and blessed by monks, puppies and the Helix Fossil! : D

 

I had to crop it a bit so the wolf doesn't look like i chopped it's ears off xD

 

I can make another video of my erasing, so you can see how I do it efficiently.

also, couldn't you use the magic wand tool to remove the background?

 

Hmm, I don't think there is one on Pixlr.

EDIT: Just tested, there is one, but it leaves the choppy white pixels around the subject, and only works with white backgrounds.

I made myself a sig but i cannot add it to my imgur account or anywhere else. any idea why?

 

What error are you getting? Can you just not find it, is it too slow, or does it not allow you to upload at all?
