Public Service Announcement: Minecraft 1.8

We will be seeing the rise of Minecraft 1.8 soon.

When this happens, Mojang will start allowing you to change your Minecraft usernames.
Please note that if you change your username:

• You will lose ALL of your data (Meebles, Items, Towns & Residency, Hiscores, etc)
  
• You will lose ALL of your donator ranks
• No one will know who you are! You will be a loner.
• Someone else can steal your old username and your assets above!

For this reason we ask you, do not change your username!

An administrator will not help you recover your assets if you do!

Anyway you could create/find a plugin where you can move all your data to another username for us who want to change?

Nvm, just red they will fix that. Maybe it's possible to make a plugin using the methods of keeping someone banned for rank/property transfers

 

Every account has unchangeable data linked to it, so bans shouldn't be an issue. The name will be most likely superficial, like your skin.

 

Then plugins can switch their programming to that, so people can keep everything they got on that. Even better system o;

 

I didn't even know you could change your username, still doesn't mean that i'm going to do it.

 

I predict a flood of alts becoming parody accounts of people on the server >.>
