Feb 25, 2014: Parkour Map Contest

Acacia Tree Parkour!

This is tree parkour! Jump from tree to tree, climb up staggering vines, and get to the top. It is really complicated with branches in the way, and long jumps. I have had a few testers, and they all tried it, and it took them about 3 hours to complete. I apologize if the shots are blurry, as my webcam is not working, so I had to take the pics from an other computer.

Screenshot 1: The end. I think the reward should be around 10k, but really, it is your choice, depending on how big you want the map to be.
2: Near the end of the parkour. At the climax of the parkour/final part, you come out onto the canopy, where it gets harder, and harder, until the end; the area with the iron bars. Image 3: The start of the parkour. It is a really mini map, but once you start, you will be traveling very slowly. But I can tell you one thing... you will have so much fun!

Umm... if it were amplified, it would be really laggy if you do not have a beefy computer. (i am talking about the amplified world parkour.)

Map Name: Islands Parkour

This is a picture of the whole course. Pretty long, will need 2-3 checkpoints.

Stages 1-4

Stages 5-7



Stages 1-4:
1.) Indian Tower: Easy jumps (some difficult) and is basically a warm-up.
2.) Medieval Tower: Slightly harder, a nice little course.
3.) Modern Tower: Now we hit some more difficult part, but can be passed
4.) Jungle Island: Spiraling around the trees, you begin to be challenged more and more. you then hit the "Head Jumps"
5.) Golden Island: Now getting harder, this island includes some four block jumps and a leap of faith
6.) The Nether: This is an annoying place, made to be torturous. Have fun on the soul sand and fence parkour
7.) End Islands: The final stretch, giving an immense challenge to those whose pass with plenty of four block and corner jumps.

I recommend adding checkpoints after the Modern Tower (at the top) and after the Gold Island.

Pics: Sorry so many xD. There are 15 in total, more coming. Note: This parkour, if picked, may be tweeked to server standards.

Stages: There are only 4 stages in this parkour, but they can be fairly long. Stages 1 and 2 are nether based, and stages 3 and 4 are End based.

On the scale of difficulty this parkour probably rates a 4 since it is relatively easy but has a few stumbling jumps.

Edit: I'm currently adding in parkour obstacles into the map, I'll try my best to finish it! : - )

A brief description of this map: I had just found out literally today that this competition was going on, with the time given, I have tried to build a nice looking, yet fun parkour map. There is actually no parkour involved within the map due to the lack of time I had to complete. Adding parkour obstacles to this map would of been no trouble, they would of blended in with the build and looked natural almost as if you where playing Assassins Creed. There is multiple levels to the parkour, the bottom floor, the excavation of gold parkour, and an higher level parkour. This would of been the most challenging parkour maps and yet the most beautiful ones. I hope I am spared with the judging with how much I could get done with the so little time I had to complete this map. Even If this map doesn't get picked i'll still have a nice looking map. : - )

An areal view of the entire build, The hills surrounding the parkour map took about 1-2 hours. Given I had only 7 hours or less to finish this entire build a lot was left unfinished, and a lot was suppose to be added. The possibility's for this map are limit less.
