i know i said i'll be inactive but it just struck me


it's my 2 year anniversary on meep (tomorrow in game, today forums) (now im legendary meeper hehehuehuehehehuehuehaha)

time has flown by pretty slowly but i've loved it. meep is the best server in my opinion, I even tried looking for a server like it but my mission failed thanks everyone for doing the server proud, and thanks to all my friends i've made. you have impacted my life greatly. starting out as a nooby citizen, made a town, made another town, begged for money, became helper, did a bad job and got demoted, thought again, became helper again, got mod, then felt it was time to leave.

I don't have the screenshot, but right after paincake resigned, people were wondering if someone would get promoted to sjoe, deljihko, and paincakes place, this lead to people shouting "ooh klutch make me admin" to which he replied, "I would rather eat rocks". Now this got me thinking, certain types of dinosaurs ate rocks to help with there digestive system, this is a trait shared with cows, and as has been said moony times, there is no udder admin like klutch, now that we have established that klutch was/is a cow, cows four compartments of there stomach, four is one more than 3, and we are only talking about one admin (klutch) so 4-1 is 3, 3 as in a triangle, like the illuminati. in addition, this was all started by dinosaurs, dinosaurs are old, and not that much is known about them, just like the illuminati!

Hey guys. I'd just like to leave my two cents here as a veteran on the server.

The EULA basically slapped many Minecraft servers in the face and basically said, "We're Microsoft, we're lazy, give us $$ instead of server owners." Fuzzlr is no longer able to make profits, and as such, the whole donation rank system is destroyed, but there are other servers that are still utilizing the profits from the ranks previously distributed.

You can work your way around this system using in-game currency to buy ranks, for example. Using rank prices that can go up and down with the economy, /fly can be re-added. The ultimate rank or legend or whatever it's called now can be reinstated as well. There's no reason that people should pay 160$ extra for a command to be taken away. There are servers bigger than Meepcraft that have Spawner Changing (Again, in-game ranks) and fix, heal (non pvp), feed, smelt, but I'm not sure how the Meepcraft staff are handling things as I'm a bit out of the loop from not playing for a while.

Now that the spawn's been worked again, it's once again dissatisfying to many people. A big spawn, though pretty and professional looking with things hard to find, is hard for a child (5-8) to find their way around. I have little memory of the first spawn, but the second spawn seemed to do the trick with three large icons in front of spawn for minigames and the terrarium straight ahead with Towns and Wild on the left and right respectively. Today, it's hard for me to find my way around spawn with /fly. Why would a child do a tutorial to play a Minecraft server? I doubt most kids 5-8 are mature enough to stay on a commitment on an economy server. I've tried to bring many younger friends here; they'd rather play mini-games.

Which brings me to my next point.

The server target group.
The problem with this is, kids enjoy mini-game servers, I'd agree. But Meepcraft is primarily a towny/eco server. The kids mature enough to play here can handle curses. The ones I've met that are younger were staff members like @JumboAce and @Highlanders3Ruth. I'm sure some fun can be thrown around without having to restrict a whole lot a chat. Racial slurs and sexual language should not be tolerated, however.

My final point is, our staff. When I was a staff member, they were like a second family to me. However, a family might be what some people would like to get away from. People play games to escape reality and enjoy themselves before having to go back to school or work (for the most part.) There's no reason to stress out about a game when new changes are being forced upon. Staff, in my opinion, should take more community input on both game changes and staff applications. There's no reason to have an application with all -1's be accepted for interview; it leads to controversy and jealousy for the applicant and distaste and dissatisfaction to the staff. In the past, the requirements to become staff were having x amount of posts on the forums and being registered for a certain time. There's no reason that we should have 2 week old staff members. Two months is a good time, in my opinion, to become staff.

EDIT: Fuzzlr, this will also shrink the economy you've been trying to shrink for oh so long. You can call Onis back and un-nerf everything if this goes through

Right now, my name may cause controversy for both staff reasons and the content inside. Staff, feel free to cross-ip check me if you'd like. I'll even tell you who I am if you message me. However, I may not be able to respond immediately.

Please make everything that you are going to do with the new perks public before doing anything.... The past big changes done by higher staff cause me not to trust the decisions made ( dungeon, new spawners, etc) all terrible things for the Eco you cannot take back. So please let us criticize the decisions before you put them in place to prevent further damage to the servers Eco and gameplay.

Edit: I understand there are somethings you cannot share with us before hand due to possible abuse but please try your best. And of not with us then please AT LEAST share with the whole moderation staff team before you implement major changes.

Hello, I would like to announce to everyone that I'm getting tired of this nonsense in this server, I've been here for more than 2 years and between those times, I've been cyber-bullied. I never really liked it, Bullied my grammar, my attitude, everything. You guys have no lives!

and therefore, I conclude that I am leaving this server! I hate each and one of you!


I am leaving the staff team, It was an honor of being part of it. I did not regret any single decision I made. It has been a pleasure working and being a slave for MeepCraft. I did not sleep for 66 days, just to moderate this server. I edited videos of hackers, made up some Meep memes, but all I get is being bullied! I know I'm one of the best staff member.


I am giving my town to Historia and I will leave all my belongings to her, she's kind-hearted and loved me with all of her heart. She deserves Ultimate so I decided to transfer my rank to her.

I'm leaving Multiplayer now, I'm going to singleplayer and I will brag everything that I will earn there! No mods! No plugins! No cheats!

Day 1
Deljikho invited us to explore on boats

discovered Kangaroo Island (Australia is the first stop to Canada obviously)

some kid became a traitor and killed us all!
Captain deljiko went somewhere else and later I came back!
decided to take it by foot in /warp wild
kept a few pets but they kept dying
had to stay alive by making shelters each night.
first one was very unimpressive

as it went on they got better
We even made a stylin' treehouse #piroanddel4arch
got to watch the sunset

before we stopped for the day I created an underground farm garden


Day 2 (it gets interesting now)
started out with just me, del, piro, and zoe
we built an igloo!
snowball fight!
del asked us to get on ts
we all got on ts
this attracted many people to our pirate party
zoe has to leave
the number of people in our group grew exponentially
doing 5 hearts of damage with a snowball (how?)
enter cooleys
see a mountain covered in water
whole team of like 15 people trying to climb it
we get up to the top
original crew starts building shelter for night
Cooleys uses staff hax to make it day and then night again
too many people, too chaotic
someone explodes tnt
someone dies and gets salty (for good reason)
Del random warps out of there and takes me and piro
doing our thing
bring back the guy who died (he had been with us for a while)
he brings in miacorn
who tps everyone back to us
we are chilling in a cave
boom
wtf
del starts laughing

I know you have all been worried sick so I wanted to let you know. Meepcraft is approved by Mojang as EULA compliant. We still have some little touches here and there but know that we are good to go.
This ones not a joke I promise.

 

I don't know if there are any threads like this but I'm sure the title got your attention.

Do you have any ideas that could be implemented to make Meep better?

I see a fair bit of posts about people complaining and not much suggesting, if you all want this server to be one of the top servers again suggest things and that way if they get shot down you have something to complain about if you genuinely believe it will help benefit the server.

My main reason for being staff is to get the community together more by doing things with players, active in chat and be as helpful as possible. Since I have been staff I have noticed a decent amount of new players using the global chat and being in touch with the community more when I am online. So if you believe you have what it takes to be a staff member and have a set goal to help the server apply!

As well as the broken mini games and problems do remember we only have 1 tech working throughout the time of day they have who also has things to do in life so if there are players that's great at developing please make a tech app.

Also all of the small things like welcoming players to the server, helping a player in need and things like that is a nice gesture.
